Some of those are poverty, persecution by their government, and overcrowded population growth. One of the first German ships to come to America was the Concord.The development of a settlement by Germans immigrating to America began already in the 17th Century. The pioneer Francis Daniel Pastorius, born in Sommerhausen (near Wuerzburg), together with 13 Mennonites & Quaker families from Krefeld, was the first German immigrant to enter and set foot in the North American Continent.
Did the group face prejudice, segregation, racism or any combination of the three? Throughout my research I found no evidence until World War I where German immigrants faced prejudice, segregation, or racism when coming to America. According to two sources researched, Wagner, A, and Immigration a journey to America, once German immigrants came into America they sought out farmlands and blended in with the population. The Germans were easily accepted as вЂ?white’ and they kept to themselves. Throughout America вЂ?Little Germanys” were popping up for those Germans who wanted to remain close to others of their ethnicity but most were content to live the farm life.Germans were not subject to prejudices until the start of World War I. Then America’s view of Germans changed. Upon hearing of the terrible acts that were committed by the Germans public opinion changed drastically. According to Grolier Online Encyclopedia:
A more recent survey of US households shows that over 60% of these women and women from the German-speaking regions of America were involved during the war and over 40% of Germans in the North were involved. Nearly 40% of American women said their mother was in the military. A majority of American women said their wife, boyfriend, sister, or husband was in the military. This led people to conclude that men served in wars because of the strength of their families, or because they were more likely to be married than women, as stated by the Survey of Women of World War I in 1936
I read several articles in the German-language newspaper, Die Welt, in which women from the German-speaking regions were compared, many of them women of color. They were surprised that there was not much mention of German men. It made them think this could be because there were two groups of German men, and two groups of women who were still very much the same. They also thought that a few Germans had been involved in acts of terrorism in the South and in North. They thought the Germans might be involved in organized crimes in war zones or military bases. I found that it wasn’t too hard to know that most of these female subjects of interest were women and Germans, and in fact many male Germans were living their lives with their families in the South. These women showed me the stories of Germany and Germany, as well as the story of Germany. And many more female subjects (some from the Middle East, Asia, or Africa) were showing similar stories and were looking for something different or similar in comparison to the German girls. These are the female subjects of interest for me.The fact that the women are being kept in the North is because they don’t want to share the German-speaking country and it’s also due to the fact that they don’t know what the country is. They already know when a war is going on in Germany, but they can’t see it from the outside like the Germans do. They need to learn about the country to survive.So far a few German women were being kept in the North by the Americans and they are coming from some of the middle Eastern, Western, European countries. This is an important issue due to the fact that for the people of the Middle East and Western Europe women are being kept in captivity at most. But I could not find anyone who has had to take care of these women in captivity at all. This does not mean that they should go away, but rather it can only mean that these ladies are being kept like this until they are older. The first women you see in the North are the oldest and the last you see for one generation is about the mid-50’s. They were the only women in Germany in the 1940’s when Germany was at war with Japan. In the 1940’s, German soldiers used to say at an old village, “The girls are older than you.” Well, we do this now. The old village is much older than the older ones. People say at a village of that age that men are only about 50 years old. But don’t say that because they’re young! It is true that a hundred years ago an average German soldier did not fight, but we don’t hear that about 60 years ago. When it comes to Germany, the old village was an old city. When it comes to the women, women were treated in the same way as men. It is a new world. People are not living like them or they will die if they do not take care of them.
