Wi-Fi
Wi-Fi
Introduction
Wi-Fi is a wireless networking –the ability to connect to a network or PC using radio signals (as opposed to network cabling). Its faster and has a greater range than Bluetooth and is ideal for home or office connectivity. Using a Wi-Fi setup with your PDA or laptop means that you can share a Broad band device Internet connection, swap files, or share a printer or storage area between computer users.

The Wireless infrastructure is multi dimensional ,whether in technologies (diversified and harmonized). It is fuelled by many emerging technologies such as digital signal processing ,software, definable radio, intelligent antennas ,superconductor devices as well as digital transceiver. Reconfigurable terminals and base station helps the system easily applied in the wireless mobiles as well as wireless access applications.

Wi-Fi works with no physical wired connections Data between sender and receiver works receiver by using radio frequency technology, a frequency within the electromagnetic spectrum associated with radio wave propagation. When an RF current is supplied to an antenna, an electromagnetic field is created that then is able to propagate through space. The cornerstone of any wireless network is an access point .The primary job of an access point is to broadcast a wireless signal through which laptops or computer can detect a signal. In order to connect to an access point and join a wireless network, computers and devices must be equipped with wireless network .

The frequency band used for Wi-Fi connection is 2.5Ghz and 5Ghz.
To access the convergence wireless mobile and to be accessed in one track .The Below figure will show this.
