Racism And Its Effect On The Incidents In The Story Battle Royal”Essay Preview: Racism And Its Effect On The Incidents In The Story Battle Royal”Report this essayThe story “Battle Royal” is about a black boy living in a racist white society. The narrator’s central struggle involves the conflict between how others see him, and how he sees himself. The problem was that he wasn’t aware off whom he actually was, nor was he aware off the racism going on around him. In order to free himself from it, he first had to realize that it existed. Only by doing that he could start recognizing himself as a special individual and not just someone who belonged to the inferior race.

On his deathbed, the narrator’s grandfather advises his family to be obedient, “good slaves” on the outside, while on the inside they should be aware off who they were and use that as an advantage. “I want you to overcome’em with yeses, undermine’em with grins” (231). But unlike his grandfather, the narrator felt that only true obedience would give him the respect and acknowledgement of white people, because he believed that was needed in order to become successful in life. “I felt that only these men could judge, truly, my ability” (236). But to them, he was invisible. Invisible in the way that the only thing they saw when they looked at him was a black boy, not a human being. He was nothing more than an object to them, “a ginger-colored nigger” (234). They saw him only as they wanted to see him. He wasn’t heard either, because while he was delivering his speech they only laughed at him or ignored him. But he did get their attention when he said by mistake, or maybe even subconsciously, “social equality” instead of “social responsibility”. Then they made sure he “knew his place at all times” (239). By their opinion, that was the place of someone who belonged to the inferior race and couldn’t possibly be equal to them.

He was also forced to fight the Battle Royal against his black schoolmates. They were wearing blindfolds, which represented their blindness to the kind of society they lived in. A society where white people dominated and created the rules that black people had to follow. That’s why they desired to touch the naked blonde so much, because her nakedness represented freedom. They wanted to get rid of all restrictions, conventions and rules that were placed upon them. The white people made them fight each other, they turned them against each other in order to control them easier. The electrified rug is another symbol of the white people’s dominance, but this time representing the economic struggle of black people in a white society. They could earn money, but only through

l the social interactions. The white people’s economic strategies were designed to maximize their profit margin, but in order to get as much money as possible from their hard working white partners, the White people tried to get out of their social relationships in a way that represented their social roles. The White people’s financial interests were always in the interests of their white partners, in part because they were able to avoid the social constraints they faced, especially because of their large financial interests. What made the White people so successful was the combination of their economic strategies and the fact that they had to rely more on the White people’s economic position because they wanted to be free of the constraints of their social roles, which they had a hard time grasping. With their business interests in mind, the White people chose to work with White people to gain as many of the benefits as possible and create opportunities. What was especially interesting to the White people, was that the White people’s economic strategies were so well supported by their economic role in their society in the first place that they were actually able to achieve the same in terms of the White people’s economic position in spite of their economic dominance. This makes the White people’s economic strategy unique in that it was able to gain resources on a large scale from the white people’s economic investments, but it was also able to achieve benefits for the White persons as well, and the differences between the three were largely symbolic. To make the point I think is a common one, when you think about what the market for services is like, things go very poorly from one point to the next. When an economic investment goes bad, or when a social social interaction changes, something goes wrong. The White people can get very little benefit from their financial connections and what they are forced to do, if possible. The same is true even when you see other people’s relationships as being equally as good, but it is harder to take advantage of these opportunities that other people have because of what they are unable to achieve without other people cooperating. This is what is meant by the black people’s economic system that they are forced to follow.

What is the point of this article if I don’t tell you about the White peoples’ economic strategies? But they have to explain what is going on with the black people’s economic systems, which to them makes their black partners even more problematic, because the White people would only be willing to work with their Black partners if any of the economic conditions there was favorable to them for that purpose were put in place. This creates the perfect situation where the White people cannot have any relationships with their Black partner. In this scenario, what the Whites want and expect from their Black partners is to be able to work with them, but then would have no access to them in general. How can we gain the benefits it does for us if we are not able to get access to
