Geography – Waste ManagementGeography – Waste ManagementWhat is waste management? We live in a throw-away society. Often, people do not consider what will happen to the packaging of products and their possessions once they are finished with them. It is very easy to simply squash the garbage lid down over the banana peels and milk cartons, and trudge the wheelie bin out to the kerbside once a week. On average, Australians produce about 700 kg of WASTE PER PERSON EVERY YEAR. While we do recycle some of our rubbish, 20% of what goes into recycling is waste, because many people do not understand what can and what cant go into the bins. Garbage collection is organized by local councils. Waste management can involve solid, liquid, gaseous and radioactive substances, with different methods and fields of knowledge for each.

Wastewater Reclaiming & Waste Management

For a start, our waste management system works by using local councils as the “collector”. For a follow up (and our own) how your recycling process will impact on your lifestyle, it’s important to take a look at the waste management process we use in Victoria.

The following is a table showing the actual waste management and packaging processes which take place throughout Victoria. All of our waste management processes take place under Australian jurisdiction. Every one is in charge of packaging the product, and is responsible for packaging up to 2kg of each component and recyclable materials into one container. Each container gets the first 5kg, while the rest is recycled. As it is, your personal rubbish is dumped into a warehouse. It is our responsibility to recycle or make sure everything is clean all the time!

Please Note: Every project will take the same planning process! As it is your responsibility to create your own plan, you need to follow the specific planning principles followed in this document.

Please ensure that your plan is a consistent one, you can have two or more units available and one is “as close”, making sure that each unit is filled in correctly, but keep in mind that your design for one unit will vary with a lot of small things. The smaller and shorter part of the design can take a bit longer to get right.

If we do not have a clear plan, then the best approach is to start from a ‘point of view’ that reflects all of our responsibilities and can be very practical to understand. You’ll find that the main purpose of your design may be to ensure that you do not miss the mark in your design – this will ensure that we will do the job right for you during our waste management.

Many of the more interesting things you learn from how waste is handled by our clients are that what is thrown away is recycled by companies without any waste disposal process in place. In short, it is an easy process that will not have an inherent cost in the hands of a waste management company.

If you get discouraged and want to try your hand at it (and it’s not hard, it may take just a few minutes) then simply start with our concept of waste and then we’ll provide you with a concrete example. When you open the package they are all labeled for disposal, however it is possible to send them off to other waste management centres for review to ensure that they are handled as closely as possible. This ensures that you have nothing out and of recycling (and therefore nothing for your money) and is not dependent on a third party (usually one of our partners). If you aren’t willing to pay more, then just let us know with a call to make sure that your disposal goes right down into the bin!

Your reusable recycling system will be very simple to use. It is very easy to use,

How does waste impact Rockdale? There are many issues that surround about waste impacting Rockdale. It is most commonly measured by size or weight, and there is a severe difference between the two. For example, organic waste is much heavier when it is wet and plastic or glass bottles can have different weights but be the same size. The environmental problems of landfills are difficult issues to fix. As more waste is put into landfills, the bigger the problem gets.

Waste that could be recycled such as metal, glass, paper and plastic, take products out of the consumer stream and require more raw materials to be converted to usable materials. Waste that is reusable, such as old clothes, shoes, books, and the like could all be repurposed, saving consumer money and reducing the amount of waste in a landfill. The reason landfills are unwanted mainly lies in the fact that insects and other creatures breed rapidly in landfills and can spread diseases. Add to that the fact that they smell, are amazingly ugly, and can leach harmful chemicals unto nearby water reserves and they become even more of a problem.

That is a lot of avoidable waste. By switching to rags, sponges, or other such alternatives all that waste can be avoided. Using paper towels made from recycled paper also reduces waste and sends a message to companies that we dont want to lose more of our natural resources, and that we dont want to use paper towels that have been treated with bleach.

All in all waste takes up land that could be better used elsewhere, leaches chemicals into ground water near the dump site and takes products out of the consumer stream, requiring companies to use more virgin materials. Since a lot of waste is unnecessary and easy to avoid there is no reason to leave current habits in place and continue to produce the amount of waste each day that we currently produce.

Any waste could be harmful if it is managed badly or disposed of illegally. Strict laws control hazardous waste management because of the risks it can pose to health and the environment. The HSE (Health and Safety Executive) in 2003 concluded that being exposed to flying viruses in the air, bacteria and fungi released from composting does not cause breathing related health problems.
