INTRODUCTION
War on terrorism has evolved on the face of the earth as a major issue on the basis of which the only power of the world United States of America seeks to form its foreign policy and pursues its objective of seeing a more democratic and secure world. United States has been a strong opponent of communism and USSR; after the fall of communism with the disintegration of Russia in ….. U.S and USSR hostility ended but the September 11 , 2001 attacks the steps taken by US government reminds us of its era of hostility against USSR and Communism but now “Communism” has been replaced by “ Islamic Terrorism / Fundamentalism” and “Communists” by “Muslims”.

The White House, (2001) stated that
In an address to a joint session of Congress following the attacks on September 11, 2001, U.S. President George W. Bush defined the “war on terror:”
“Our war on terror begins with al Qaeda, but it does not end there. It will not end until every terrorist group of global reach has been found, stopped and defeated.”

“And we will pursue nations that provide aid or safe haven to terrorism. Every nation, in every region, now has a decision to make. Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists. From this day forward, any nation that continues to harbor or support terrorism will be regarded by the United States as a hostile regime.” (para 22)

The September 11, attack gave birth to a new face of international politics, which started showing its impact of the whole system, The “Al- Qaeda” an Islamist Group accepted the responsibility of 9/11 attacks on the WTC. U.S a started campaign to vanish terrorists from the face of the earth.

The “Al- Qaeda” the Islamist Group has it’s headquarter in Afghanistan a neighboring country of Pakistan; Pakistan has a long common border with Afghanistan so Pakistan was somehow forced to be an ally of US; being bound by various circumstances played a vital in the war of Terrorism, in the view of the fact that president Bush made it clear in his speech, that either “you are with us” or the other options is a supporter of terrorists.

In this report we will discuss;
