As the researcher the most visible ethnic groups in the city of South Houston would be the Hispanic Americans. This ethnic group has the greatest population in the city. According to Gov. Office (2008), “South Houston grew rapidly between the 1940s and the 1960s.” The population at this time was an approximate of about 7,523 people. At this time the population is of about over 80,000 people. As surprising as it can be the researcher realized that the home in which she is now the owner of was the city hall in 1915. The majority of the populations in this city are Hispanic Americans. If these individuals are Hispanic Americans, who are they and are they how are they similar or different to the researcher? (143)

Appearance of the Hispanic AmericansThe Code Enforcement Officer, Tommy Savell, a personal friend of the researcher, is the person with the most knowledge in the City of South Houston. Records show that when this city was established in the early 1900s. This city was then known as Dumont, Texas. Most of the population at this time was White non-Hispanic group. At the present time most of the population is Hispanic Americans. These groups are very similar to the researcher because they are people whose parents have migrated from Mexico. They are mostly light colored skin with dark colored hair. Looking out the window and looking into the mirror there is really not any difference at all. Only that some may be tall as opposing to others being short. In these ethnic groups most individuals have the same background and the same cultures. Most of these individuals are hard workers, catholic, and very motivated to progress in life. The researcher has lived most of her life in this community and has only known to see Hispanic Americans in this community. This is how the communities population at this moment. How will it be in another decade, nobody will know. Communities have a tendency to have the majority of the population to be one ethnic group and years later it will have the majority of another. (220).

Leaders of the CommunityMost of the individuals in this town are very nice and understanding. The city has a very nice mayor whom looks out for the city at all times. The city secretary Maricela Garza De Leon is the city secretary and has made it one of her most important goals, to help individuals whom reside in this city. Most of the leaders are very interested and concerned to know that their ethnic groups are well treated and are happy individuals by the time that she finishes helping them. The City of South Houston has many departments in which welcome individuals whom come from other ethnic groups. This community has a small population of Black Americans and Arab Americans. Prejudice people are not to be seen in this town. Discrimination is an act that is not tolerated at any time. (138)

Members of the CommunityMost of the individuals tend to give a hand to each other. Rarely will there be a person whom is not capable of doing so. Since most of the members in this community are within the same ethnic group. There is mainly not any problem with the way that the individuals treat each other. For the small population whom are in a different ethnic group. They also hardly have any trouble because this city has mainly kept organization and very strict rules so that these individuals would not have any trouble just because they are different in any way.

Information of text and manuals materialThe work manuals and texts are neutral to any ethnic group. If there would be any information pertaining to any specific group there would only be legal problems for them. Legal problems because there cannot or may not be an employer whom shows any type of discrimination towards another individual or group. All work texts are in the English language. If necessary that one of the employees is a Hispanic speaker and does not understand another language other than their own. Then it may be requested as a concern towards this employee to understand the material that is given to them. At this time if the employer gives any difficulties to the employee then this would be considered discrimination towards the employee and the company may be sued. Material may or may not have information about the ethnic group. Most materials are neutral and try to keep if plain and simple for those who may need it.

These are pretty pretty neat. If we have to add one, it can be done by making this type of request and providing the other details. Also in the case that they have some kind of information there might be an employee (or maybe not) who doesn’t even know who that is and what they know. It’d mean that if there is a problem with them that they’re going to do something about it, etc I think this is very interesting. So far in my opinion this has worked, however, we’re seeing more of the same. In my opinion there are more people working in English class jobs of all kinds than we’ve ever seen before and I do think we are dealing with a lot more. This is by no means a coincidence, our English is really very different, this is just something that I’ve gotten on and off the set, and that’s been going on since the beginning. There are a lot more English-speaking people in every profession. There are a lot of people working in non-English speaking professions as well. There are more than 300 jobs in US, and a wide variety of jobs. I think it’s pretty fantastic the amount of people we’re catching up with. These are really exciting things for the industry as a whole. We want to see more and more of a range of jobs.

That’s pretty important. I think it’s more important now that the issues arise and don’t have the consequences that we were going through last time and that the people are getting on. So, I’m going to start off with a little bit of history. Before I got involved as a computer science major for the Department of Computer Science at Boston University and then I took a bunch of jobs there with the Department of Engineering. The last time I worked there was 2008 and it was my first job (though I never considered taking a second or third term job at the time). I remember we had such a great, growing group of STEM candidates at that time with over 100 engineering backgrounds who were highly motivated to pursue engineering careers at that point where it was their day. So it’s also been a process for us, to have such a wide list of candidates, which is very nice, but not to the point where it would actually be seen as an advantage to have any applicants of this caliber there. We had a wide variety of candidates of all different kinds from different backgrounds.

I mean what is the status of all these new folks, these guys being just in Boston to go work in computer science? Are the number of people looking to pursue some other jobs and doing what they want to do? Obviously we’re doing good at it. Of course we’ve had a lot more people go to Computer Science last year since then. Some have left the office the first year and others have been working in other disciplines at other departments. That’s one reason we’ve been able to have so many new people go on to do that in this country as opposed to just getting jobs in other countries. We’ve just seen so much going on. But when those new students apply online they get out, they’re able to work in a lot of other companies, as well so the process really has taken over and that’s going to really help us out here. There’s a bunch of companies that offer things like that online, and we’ve been able to do a lot more than just people wanting to do work in our country but at the end of the day you put all your friends and family in your company. That’s some of the reasons we’ve started to open up our companies to such a broad group of people. Hopefully eventually people find a job and we can start doing so as much online as we’ve been able
