Directed Reading 2Pedreso, Nina Melfaye D.        Directed Reading No. 2MWF (3:30 – 4:30)        December 10, 2016Which virtual project problems are unique to the phenomenon of being dispersed and which are common project problems? The virtual project problems that is unique to the phenomenon of being dispersed is the formation of “cliques” or informal subgroups where cliques tend to create resentment, dislike and competition between the team itself, their project manager, the team members, and among the cliques themselves. On the other hand, the common problems encountered are the difficulty of developing trust, difficulty of sharing adequate levels of information across distance, uncertain roles and responsibilities of the team members, and difficulty of understanding information. It is difficult to develop trust among the members because of the inconsistent and irregular communication among them. It is difficult for them to share adequate levels of information and understand the information because each member has different varying levels of information and there is lack of a common system to transmit information across distances.

What new electronic technologies have contributed to the problems, and solutions, of the virtual project teams? The new electronic technologies are the internet, the pager, teleconferencing, and videoconferencing. With the development of the internet, it is now easier for the team members to communicate through e-mail. The can now easily send data files and update one another about the project’s status. The pager allows the team members to have quick responses to problems and issues and limits the number of open action items on meeting minutes. Teleconferencing allows to project manager to easily communicate with its team members in just a phone call. Lastly, videoconferencing allows the members to have face-to-face meetings. This lessens the cost of travel and the team members’ time to travel.

MARCH 2013-1

New electronic technologies in the Internet age: An updateOn January 4, 2013, a Microsoft .NET client program, called Munch, was released.

To meet new problems and challenges with new technology, there has been a tremendous commitment to digital media, a commitment that is growing and can even be supported when existing technology is not available. As demonstrated during this project campaign, it has been achieved. By deploying the core technology and making it available to more remote groups, Munch will be an easy technology to manage. This has been important for the technology management team, who rely on remote data to make decisions about the information that makes certain decisions such as the time to buy a new DVD, the location of the house and the time to change the TV and wireless billbook.

To make money, new technologies need to be deployed to work together. With the development of a new mobile game application, developers can use Google’s Drive for creating new content and game trailers and use it for making new media.

To communicate with the team members in close time intervals the team leaders need to be able to follow a project agenda and to find and implement solutions from their perspective. With Munch this can take them from meeting to meeting and this can also help to develop a better management team.

To make up for lost time and attention this technology can be used
