Values and basic assumptions really determine what an organisation is about e.g. included can be dress code, ceremonies, meetings

An organisations mission statement basically answers one question. How do we intend to win in this business?
Setting the mission is top managements responsibility.
A mission cannot, and must not be delegated to anyone except the people ultimately held accountable for it
