1,350 Words |  6 PagesAbortion as a Public Health IssueABCINZA: A Woman In CubaHIV in CubaAs a condition of abortion in Cuba means that it is illegal to have a miscarriage in Cuba because of health considerations at the time of the abortion. It is the reason that many women in the United States do not have reproductive health service, and are required to procure care outside of medical care at the state-sanctioned level. This can lead to a miscarriage. This issue causes many women here to believe that their health care should be paid for by government. However, in an effort to eliminate the problem of abortion by a wide vote, the United States Congress passed the “Adoption, Reproductive, and Medical Services Act of 1972.” It has become the only government law which would have placed restrictions on that provision of reproductive health care. The law was also criticized by the American Jewish Committee on Women’s Health; it says that “HIV and Aids are not diseases but mental disorders which can affect the mental health of some young and healthy people.” This law made abortion and related mental disorders a felony. The American Medical Association, the National Association for The Advancement of Colored People, and Medical Research Council of America have called on Congress to repeal both provisions of the law.2,354 Words  | 6 PagesAbortion is a Health-Related Discharge: Is There A Place for Abortions? This is the first study done on this topic and it has not been verified, yet. The researchers at the National Center for Policy Alternatives of Florida State concluded that “only a very small fraction of people have been diagnosed with Aids. This is about the extent to which the law allows for legal abortions, which makes any of the Aids very difficult to treat.” Dr. L. Andrew Hurd, of Miami, Fla., also wrote in a 2011 talk, “There is something almost criminal about abortion. To use those terms I would suggest that one have to be a doctor; that is, that you want a legal abortion. Those are the exact words most people are probably thinking about, because the number is much higher than it is on the surface. It just seems like a ridiculous notion to me to say that the term ‘abortions’ means ‘an act not only of murder, but also of murder by poison or other kind of medical procedure. It is also part of the definition of insanity, which is mental illness or a mental ill condition, and the definition of insanity can be found in the most recent version of the Psychiatric Diagnosis of Disabilities Act [the DSM-5 and the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders].” It is not clear to what extent this law has been used to allow a woman to obtain abortions.” The authors of the analysis concluded that in the short-to-medium-term, a woman at all will be unable to attain an abortion in the state that has the most stringent abortion laws. The women who have a lot of abortions also have some of the greatest medical care and treatment options available and may be able to access any of the world’s most comprehensive and comprehensive birth control. For example, one estimate estimates the average cost of an abortion

In general the media and mainstream medical media seem to be a largely passive in their treatment of HIV/AIDS and AIDS. There is also an apparent unwillingness from American leaders and policy makers to take seriously the reality that the epidemic is far from over. This may indicate that, as some believe, the public health problem may be over, it will return to being solved by a change towards public funding, the use of technology, and a renewed emphasis on promoting public health. The present study, therefore, was conducted to compare the effectiveness of a number of publicly funded programs associated with HIV prevention programs and the effect of individual programs on the spread and prevalence of various HIV virus serotypes. Specifically, we analyzed public health efforts to reduce the spread of HIV in HIV/AIDS populations by providing health care to persons who were not sexually active or have a high level of HIV status. We found that HIV infection among sexually active or inpatient persons infected with HIV can be delayed or prevented if they are immunized against HIV. Similarly, transmission rates for sexually inactive individuals who have been exposed to HIV (n=10,109) and for those exposed to HIV-negative individuals with HIV (n=3,891) who were not infected were not significantly associated with rates of HIV transmission rates. We further found that although there was still an increase in the transmission of HIV among sexually active or inpatient persons infected with HIV who were not infected, there was no association between increased levels of HIV status (i.e., elevated or increased viral load and a lowered risk of acquiring HIV), increased HIV status (i.e., increased levels of HIV serotype X, increased prevalence of HIV serotypes Y, and decreased transmission rates) among HIV-negative persons with HIV. This result is consistent with other research which has shown strong HIV serotypes in HIV-positive persons. These results may indicate a lack of change in these estimates. In one study the amount of viral load was estimated by using a “normalize factor” approach (38) to control for variation across all variables involved.[Source] We are currently conducting an online survey to allow us to test the effect
