The Civil War was one of the bloodiest and gruesome wars ever known in American history. Although the war was pretty much over before it started. The South did not ever have a chance at winning, because the North had more forces and was much stronger. The South had a much smaller population compared to the North. The South was also not as organized and the North was in regards to their government.

The North had a major advantage. The North retained most of the U.S. Navy which was good for the North because 5 of the 24 states bordered the ocean, therefore, the North could attack the South through the water swiftly and accurately. The South was not able to return fire, because they simply did not have a Navy or any type of armed force that could counter the attacks on the water.
