Russian Revolution
The Russian Revolution was a war that had many stages. Russias government was not your average government; it was run completely different than the other countries in Western Europe. Industrializing was considered necessary in Russias cities. The money was raised by taxing the peasantry. By 1905 the pre stages of the revolution had occurred, peasants were rioting against the government. In October of 1917, the Bolsheviks had taken power.

The start of the Russian revolution was on January 22, 1905, this date will forever be know as bloody Sunday. Police opened fire at the demonstrators as they protested peacefully about their financial problems. They continued marching at the winter palace. With that stated it was not the peasants or the working class that started the revolution. It was the violent actions of the police that caused the peasants to riot. This meant that they looted, burned mansions and attacked officials. The way the peasants lived was horrible, and if that was not enough they were being taxed heavily. October 1905 was the month when Tsar Nicholas II allowed there to be parliaments, although their powers were limited he still allowed them to operate. It was not the working class or the peasantrys that made all this change; it was all set forth by a smaller number of people that took over the government. Everyone wanted change, but everyone was not in agreement in letting the Bolsheviks rule. This is supported by the way they took over the government, and neither the working class nor the peasants assisted or approved this action.

February 1917, a hefty portion of the workers in St. Petersburg and Moscow were striking and rioting for higher food rations. Tsars solution was to overpower the workers by force and dissolve the parliament. The parliament refused to obey and the citizens sized the capital. Nicholas the II was forced to step down from power while a temporary government consisting of mostly moderators was put into place. The temporary government was run by Prince Lvov. This new temporary government was led by socialist revolutionaries. And Mensheviks thought that at this point provisional
