How Tragic!
Even though Antigone and King Creon both had to suffer throughout the play for their individual, various reasons, I think that Antigone suffered the most.

Antigone has had a twisted fate even before birth. Her family was very abnormal. Besides being married to her cousin, her father was also her brother. Before she was born, her dad married his mom unknowingly. When he found out, they had already bore four children. He gouged his eyes out, and his wife/mother killed herself.

Speaking of family, her uncle King Creon, was distorted. Since he didnt like her brother Polyneices, he made it a law to not bury him when he had died. When Antigone gave her brother a proper burial, Creon sentenced her to death to rot in a vault.

Going through all of this, you would think Antigone would have help from some one, but she didnt. Her own sister, Ismene, didnt even help her. She respected the King and the law, and didnt want to defy him. Later on in the story, she tries to stick up for Antigone when she gets sentenced, but Antigone is too proud and tells the King that Ismene had nothing to do with her burying her brother.

Antigone was the more tragic character of the story, even though King Creon had to go through almost as much as she did.
