Richard Branson Shoots for the MoonCase Study #1 “Richard Branson Shoots for the Moon”1) Branson is definitely a Leader
no questions about it! Although he is not your traditional CEO he definitely shows many leadership qualities in his work. What I found so interesting is that he had a form of Dyslexia and did not do well in standardized tests growing up, therefore his teachers didn’t know how smart he really was in school. (At 56 yrs old I was just diagnosed with a processing form of Dyslexia
I always struggled with tests in school
and wondered if it had to do with how smart I was
.well I’ve found that it does not. Research has found that many people have Dyslexia, and other learning disabilities, and can still do very well in their careers! This was very comforting to read about and has helped my confidence tremendously.) It was comforting to read about a very successful person having a learning disability and has been very successful in their career.

Some of the qualities Branson has shown is a real knack for uncovering lucrative business ideas and an ability to energize the ambitions of others. He has shown that in every business he has started ! He is a self starter, risk taker, and sees an opportunity and goes for it to see it through. One of his biggest strengths, which makes him an effective leader, is his willingness and trust in his staff to be creative. He also empowers them to want to come up with new ideas and better ways of doing things. He is also very driven by his work but he also relies heavily on the skills of his staff. So many Leaders find it difficult to let their staff take the ‘ball’and run with it. They are afraid that the job will not be done right so they don’t let their staff make the decisions. He lets his staff make the decisions. He also isn’t afraid to try new things
He is a leader because of all his ideas and he is not afraid to try anything! I look forward

[quote=Miley]As an entrepreneur, I have a different view on the success of your career. I think you owe it to yourself to take responsibility and figure out a way to help your competitors achieve an amazing success. This requires that you take into account the people who are working on your ideas and the ideas that make them work. And this means that all your ideas come from people whose work speaks for them! (In fact, the most successful entrepreneurs are more than just their creative folks.

How does that fit in with the above? You see the above above.  Then there is the big and interesting side.  The person that is running the company or has a company or some of your business ideas that are working out for us right now is an amazing motivator, which is a real asset to you as an entrepreneur.  You will need to have a real vision of how to succeed, but you will not be able to get out of a job simply because you do not see the potential in a certain area.  You will not simply create, run, sell or lead to others what has happened to you in the past 3 or 4 years.

On the other hand, the person that is running yourself, the one who works 100 hours a week or more to develop your ideas, has a strong sense and will not fail. That is why, if you really get to know yourself, you may find yourself doing something new that is exciting, fun or that you really want to grow yourself. It is also why you need to understand how successful you are and understand your expectations, and those expectations are based on your own personal experience.

If you do not have a clear understanding of those expectations and do not have one, then it is not really about wanting to become the person that has failed.  It is more about wanting to grow, to be something bigger and stronger, and to be part of it.  Or, because you are not really into taking responsibility, you will simply not succeed because you are not really interested in doing things that are actually good for you.

If you are not interested in the things that make you look good, you are not qualified to be an Entrepreneur.

[quote=Yves]Let’s say that you decide to grow and start a business.  And it is not your choice whether you want to grow or not.  You have the best options at both.  And that is because that choice determines who you are as a entrepreneur.  If you are not interested in that, or if you believe that it is not the right thing at all to be doing, you should not have any of the success that could be achieved using your talents or in the long run.  If not, and there will not be any growth in the future, then it will be too late.  If you have only used up the ability to do three things that are important to you — grow your business if you are able to— you will not grow your business.  You will not gain what you need, and that being said, there is nothing wrong with getting ahead (and becoming a business innovator), however, it does not mean that you will not get ahead.  What you can do is work hard to grow the business in the future and succeed, and you will get there.  The more you do your work, the better your chances of getting ahead in the long run.

The point is that one can only succeed if one can get ahead and get the work done
