Education Class
Coming into this class I thought I knew exactly who I was, what my dreams were, and what my future held, but throughout this semester those thoughts have changed. Though I have changed my major to nursing, this class made a great impact on my life. I have grown and learned more than I thought possible. It has shown me who I really am and what impact I want to make on the world. This class has taught me things that I can use throughout the rest of my life and my new career choice.

One of the biggest things I learned in this class was to build a relationship with your students and get to know them. I learned this from making our “me” bags. Everyone enjoys to talk about the things they love and the things that show others who they really are. It also helps to break the ice in awkward situations. From this I got that whether your in a classroom, a hospital room, or even in your everyday life that its important to make people feel safe and special. I learned that acts of kindness can completely change the moods of people, their attitudes, and even your own attitude. Getting to know people will show them that they arent just another person to you. It will show them that truly you care.

From the Torey Hayden book Ghost Girl, I learned to be passionate about your career. If you are not passionate about your job you will not want to be there.

Torey loved her job and she showed it. She loved helping children and she did everything in her power to do what she was set out to do. One way she showed this was by going to a book store to find out the information about the things that were happening to Jadie at home. When she didnt know the information that she needed, she would go to whatever extent she needed to get it.
