Organizational Behavior
Introduction
This paper is an outlook on research done on organizational behavior. I will cover the topics of organization behavior trends, workers attitudes and values, and motivation related to organizational behavior.

Organizational Behavior Defined
By definition, organizational behavior is actions and attitudes of individuals and groups towards one another and toward the organization as a whole, and its effect on the organizations functioning and performance (BusinessDictionary.com). To me this means that individuals correlate what may or may not happen within an organization based on certain aspects of their individualism.

Organizational Behavior Trends
How does something become a trend? People make trends. One person starts something and then others pick it up becoming a trend. According to what I have read “Organizational behavior is about common themes that describe the modern workplace such as ethical behavior, globalization, technology, diversity, and performance/work-life balance” (John R. Schermerhorn Jr., James G. Hunt, Richard N. Osborn).

Out of these listed, I believe that the biggest trend today in the business world is moral principles or ethics. If an employee or manager does something that is unethical it tends to look bad on the entire organization as a whole not just that one person. Therefore, organizations want to know that they are dealing with someone who is going to be ethical if an ethical dilemma were to arise for any reason. If an employee or manager does something that is unethical it tends to look bad on the entire organization as a whole not just that one person. This is not just for organizations but person life aspects as well.

The second biggest trend for business now days out of those listed above to me is performance/work life balance. Organizations understand that everyone has pa life outside of work but these organizations are very particular. They want to know that you can handle yourself not only in your job aspect but being able to deal with your personal life around your work life. This is why I believe that employers go with employee assistance programs designed to help the employee in a time of need.

Workers Attitudes and Values
Values are abstract concepts defining what is good, worthwhile, and positive or valued within a society or this case an organization. I believe that values tie into a persons ethical reasoning. Attitude is the way a person views something or tends to behave towards it, often in an evaluative way (World English Dictionary). Values correlate with attitude in the sense that what a person perceives from an organizations tends to cause some type of outcome giving them a particular attitude. Organizations
