World Without Religion
NameClassDateProfessor        The topic of religion is hard to debate because both sides can sound logical, but for someone who is religious this can confuse them. Being religious in their own right they seem to find the atheist panelist to have a more an idea of religion and its consequences than the people who tried to defend religion. Richard Dawkins was the man who made the most sense in this debate. They disagree when it comes to saying religion and God is a lie, but they do believe that people could live without it. Religion has caused a lot of pain over the centuries, and some religious factions, such as Christianity have literally killed millions of people for heresy, even if they did not do anything. Even now, there are radical factions of other religions that believe that they must kill people that they see are religious enemies. They are not right, and the treatment of people in the past is not right. I think that this is the first panelists stance against the idea of religion. Richard Dawkins just made it clear that religion is not needed in this world. In a way it probably would be better off without it, but what about the people who truly believe in a God. He may believe that it is all a lie but they still believe that there is some truth to religion. That there is a higher being other than ourselves. So it is confusing to think about this idea, and when they do, they find themselves siding with the atheist every time.
