The topic of Iraq has this country, and most Americans split down the middle. Where do you literally draw the line in the sand? As the years keep adding and the costs at the same rate, this has become one of Americas longest and most expensive wars. Who do we hold responsible for each American death overseas? This is a departure from my normal take on Iraq and the current administration, simply to weigh the responsibility.

In an article I read in the NYT magazine edition it said that Bin Laden holds the American people responsible for the Presidents mistakes and I think the argument holds water. If we are a democratic nation, a representative democracy, then the President speaks and acts for all of us. Iraq is on our shoulders. The shoulders of whoever voted for, not only the president, but local and state officials as well. This in itself gives justification to anyone who disagrees with our foreign or domestic policy, to attack the civilian population.

There has been a large lack of accurate information and intelligence concerning this war. I have to wonder what this war would look like on American soil. Would we be appeased to sit by and let this administration make decisions without giving us proper information if OUR lives depended on it? I think not.

So who is to blame? We are. Every one of us who sit idly by waiting for our REPRESENTITIVES make our decisions without voicing our opinions. We need to speak up now about OUR wishes in Iraq, before another JUSTIFIED attack on American soil because of American policy.

RememberÐ. Tomorrows war, might be in your driveway.
