Living in a Nightmare
Here I am hopeless and desperate, alone in the water. Well, not exactly alone. Black gigantic cat keeps starring at me with his creepy eyes. Its not easy for me to live in this glassy tank filled with ancient water. Every second I have to keep my eyes on that fury monster. His claws are sharper than fishing hooks. When it opens his mouth I try not to look at those spiky teeth. Its like Im locked and trapped her forever.

It wasnt that bad two weeks ago. I enjoyed swimming joyfully with my friends and being watched by all the people. Some would shout “look at that fishy!” People also would change water in the aquarium once every two days. But my first-class days ended in a flash. A boy came and took me, separating me from my loving family and friends. My new shelter was nothing compared to my old one. Everything in it disgusts me, especially that lazy stinky cat.

The way he walks irritates me. Carrying his weight with tail pierced to the ceiling presenting his nude body. Sometimes when crawling on the couch it would take him couple times to finally climb up. Hilarious! There are also some things that I actually enjoy. My mouth waters when I see those curly flakes. They feed me good here. And also I get to watch TV 24/7. I still wish to get out this place ASAP.

Every day I wish that fairy tales were true. Like the one about gold fish. Gold fish can do anything. Build castles, make you rich, and even transport you to any place you want. Being somewhere else right now would surely get me happy. I am a gold wish, but no matter how much time I spend trying to turn that fatty into dog food or into a statue it never worked. Maybe that TV is making me silly. One thing I know for sure is that no one is coming to get me. This is the place where I will die.

I dont know what people have in mind. They treat us – fishes like their pets. And having a cat and a fish in one room is not a clever idea. If they want
