Circumcise
The term circumcision brings to mind many thoughts to many different persons. To me it is a term that causes very unpleasant thoughts. I personally believe that any form of either male or female circumcision is wrong when done to an non-consenting child. If an adult wishes to have a circumcision done to themselves then as a consenting adult it is within an individuals rights to have this cruel procedure done to themselves. Otherwise, female and male circumcision is a procedure that is done only to meet a cultural norm.

“Circumcision is a surgical procedure in which the skin covering the end of the penis (called the foreskin) is removed exposing the glans (head or tip of the penis)” The procedure is usually done on infants in the first few days when born. A doctor is the only one who does the procedure.

Circumcision is an ancient and widespread practice. Some cultures as wide spread as the aborigines of Australia, to the Kazakh of Russia circumcises their male children. “An Egyptian inscription from around 4000 BC refers to the procedure. Male mummies have been found to be circumcised. According to the Old Testament god commanded Abraham to circumcise all males of his household.

Most parents allow this procedure to be performed on their male infants without knowing why it is being done. Male circumcision performs no necessary medical function.

Neither his father nor his grandfather were circumcised and found it to be an unnecessary procedure that no male infant needs. There were only two options Leave him intact, Or get him circumcised. If he does get him circumcised and my son decides he wants to reverse the operation he will then have two choices. One is a set of exercises that are designed to stretch the skin back to its natural length, or a skin graft procedure that consists of a series of procedures that attempt to reconstruct the skins original length. Today, my son is not circumcised and has never had any type of medical problems from not being circumcised. I believe that male circumcision has become a cultural norm in our society that is accepted for no other reason than that it has become a routine procedure done at birth to all most all male infants. To me male circumcision is as wrong as female circumcision.

Overall, I find
