Anger Management Survey
Anger Management Survey
INTRODUCTION
According to Charles Spielberger a psychologist who specializes in the study of anger, anger can be defined as Ѓgan emotional state that varies in intensity from mild irritation to intense fury and rageЃh. Any person will know how anger feel like as anyone has experienced anger in life due to various reasons. According to psychologist it could be external source or internal source. External refers to external environment such as traffic jam, annoying joke or rude treatment. Internal source refers to bad memory in the past that trigger the anger of the person.

This survey is conducted based on ЃgAnger expression scaleЃh by Charles Spielberger, to test the hypothesis ЃgMen are prone anger compare to womenЃh. In this Anger expression scale there are three categories, there are anger state category which has 5 statements, anger trait category which has 5 statements as well and anger expression which has 12 statements, there are total 22 statements to be answer using scales. Anger state refers to the current feeling of the person, how the person emotion state is, for example moody, excited, furious and angry. Anger trait refers to Ѓga disposition to perceive situations as annoying and to respond to these situations by more frequent expressions of state angerЃh This mean anger trait and anger state is inter-related, it is the angry temperament and angry reaction of a person. Anger expression refers to angry expression out (expression of anger towards people or environment), anger expression in (suppression of angry feeling), anger control in (suppression of anger by cooling down) and anger control out (preventing anger expression toward people or environment).

PROCEDURE
Hypothesis
The hypothesis in this survey is Ѓgmen are prone anger compare to womenЃh. This hypothesis was chosen mainly because it is commonly known that men are prone to anger compare to women. As study showed, men have a shorter life span compare to women, one of the reasons is because women are more expressive compare to men, women tend to share their problem which help them to decrease stress while men are more egoistic, and they prefer to keep their problems and burden to themselves which cause high stress that affect their health. Researchers mentioned that Ѓgwhile men succumb to fatal illnesses like heart disease, stroke, and cancer, women live on with non-fatal conditions such as arthritis, osteoporosis, and diabetes.Ѓh from the statement we can see that men suffer illness that related with stress while women suffer illness that related with diet. However there are also latest finding that it might be the opposite. Researchers finding that women might prone to anger compare to men due to some speculated reason associated with social inequality. Thus this hypothesis will be tested in this survey to find out the outcome or answer.

The choices of answer are range from almost never, sometimes, often and almost always. It has statement of feelings and also behavior description how a person will react when he or she is angry.
