Throughout this report ‘different gender’s adaptability’ will be focused on, which will compare the two demographics of female international students and male international students.

In recent years, there has been an increasing interest for students to study abroad. In recent years, there has been an increasing interest for students to study abroad. Statistics International Student Numbers by UK nation and English regions from 2015 to 2016, the percentage of the student population who are international in England is 19%, in Scotland, is 22%, in Wales, is 17%, in North Ireland, is 9% and in the UK, is 19%( International students in UK HE,2015). Being abroad is a challenge for every student, not only for learning survival skills, but also for studying. Different genders having different abilities to adapt to new environments. There are big differences between male and female. First, biological differences. Women have larger connections and more frequent interaction with their brain, while men opposite. Second, psychological differences. Helen claims that men think globally, but women think locally. Men are more independent in their thoughts and actions, while women are more willing to follow the ideas suggested by others (2012).This report will aim to interpret the contrasting ability of female international students and male international students to adapt to UK University life. This will be done by using questionnaires to collect and analyze data. The questionnaire is based on three aspects of UK college study, life and social intercourse and options are set to varying degrees, which is important to find out that different genders are selected for the above issues. The hypothesis of this report is that female international students are more likely to find difficulties adapting to UK University life than male international students.MethodologyA questionnaire was drafted to test the hypothesis that female international students are more likely to find difficulties adapting to a UK University life than male international students. There are nine questions on the questionnaire which consists four degrees question and five individual choices. Furthermore, this survey was used to ask two separate samples, which can collect accurate data onto this hypothesis. The survey was done in Cardiff Library, which is located on Queen Street. Twenty respondents, ten female international students and ten male international students, were selected randomly. Respondents filled out the questionnaire carefully, and the data were authentic and credible. The resulting data were obtained and plotted graphically to ease description the data. In order to better to illustrate the comparison of the results, bar charts were used to show the data.
