This course is divided in 4 parts with 3 timeslots each. The course book Research this is it (Baarda, 2010) forms the base for this course. The VLD contains supplementary course material such as handouts and assignments. This course is connected to the course Organisations InsideOut (code CU03859). Study material of that course can be used in this course and assignments in this course are connected to the assignments of the course Organisations InsideOut (code CU03859). Even though there is a linkage between the two courses, assessment and allocation of grades will be separate for each course.

This student dossier format is the framework of this course and contains a lecture study guide which clarifies which elements of the course book are important and are being used to do assignments which are going to be incorporated in the dossier. The lecture study guide also contains an overview of the products that you are going to produce for the purpose of filling the file. In this student dossier format you find 12 tabs in which you compile your information/results of each lecture and accompanying assignments.

The student dossier is predominantly group work and partially individual work. As an individual you are personally responsible for keeping a personal dossier up to date, including the elements that concern group work. In the digital version of the dossier you keep a record of your own contribution as well as the group results, such that at any moment in time you have an up-to-date dossier available. As an individual you remain responsible for the available dossier information. During the last lecture of this course the student dossier in printed form will be assessed by fellow students in an inter-vision session. The lecturer determines the final grade based on the inter-vision of the contents, the process of participating in the course and presence during the lectures.

During the lectures you need to have your study material at hand: book, dossier and the accompanying forms (presented to you in the lecture by the lecturer). The forms are an aid in processing the assignments in a structured manner by making notes on these forms.
