Introduction
During the past two weeks I have been doing extensive research on the demographics of the Advanced Business Writing class. The information that has been uncovered will help you to get to know the students as well as help you to better develop the class.

Action Taken
The research process began with accessing the student autobiographies written earlier this semester. Next I read the individual autobiographies to determine what type of information each student was providing. Business Administration: 14
Health Care Systems Administration: 6
Marketing: 6
Music Industry Management: 4
Graphic Design: 3
Criminal Justice: 3
Advertising: 3
Other: 17*
*Majors with two or less students.
Of the 56 students in the class, 47 confirmed that this is a required class. Nine students did not specifically address this information; not a single student stated that this class was not a requirement in their curriculum.

Only 10 students addressed whether this was their first online class or not. Seventy percent of those students confirmed that this was their first online class.

The most common goals of the students were to improve writing skills and to become a more professional writer to better prepare for future jobs. Nine students specified a goal of receiving an “A” for the class.

Conclusion
Since an overwhelming majority of students are juniors or older, they must
