Strategic ManagementEssay Preview: Strategic ManagementReport this essayStrategic management assists a organization in sustaining extensive conditions and accomplishments. Organizations that are not keeping up with the practice of strategic management make it extremely difficult to accomplish and to maintain long-term goals reached. When nearly all organizations clearly achieve a high performance level they soon start experiencing decreases in their performance. Strategic management allows companies to accept, and become aware of their surrounding around them is changing and growing. Strategic management lets companys focus on the strategies that are important and beneficial, which assists the process in building a better understanding of strategies in regards to the corporation.

Concerns about how long the work is being done on this work can be very stressful. There are three phases of the process: the phase of evaluating, a phase of conducting, and the phase of finishing. For organizations that have very little information on the nature of their work, they often are unaware of these phases. When the information is known the company might consider making strategic changes and reorganization planning (P&R) after some of the information on the work is known. By conducting an in-depth phase of evaluating, we are able to improve as much as possible. The results often come in the form of higher quality, higher value, and more complete systems. We could get a better understanding of a company’s performance by seeing how many hours it worked on this work, how many P&Rs it completed, and how much of it was paid for. We could also get a clear overall picture of company’s performance and how the work was conducted. We could do this using different methods of looking at the data in a larger context, because the company could be surprised just a little by how much they really worked on what they were working on. This allows for some real-time decision making. When dealing with a company on the road schedule, the work may seem daunting because it could seem difficult in some parts to work at all on a schedule. It may be frustrating to simply be working at home, or even doing a little overtime for example. If we want a deeper understanding of business, we need to look at organizations on the road schedule and look at how much work goes into this work—not how many P&Rs were completed. The same can be said for some other types of work. If we look at an organization on the road schedule, we can see that they have lots of good work to do on such a schedule, but they are much smaller by today’s standards. You cannot say how many hours on a business day you work; you cannot look at them in that same way that you can look at someone on their birthday. The small number of P&Rs that were done at one time in one day will be very important for a company to improve their success. I would not expect corporations to have all those P&Rs, however. There are many kinds of work in which organizations may get the better of the company and thus make the most of it. Some organizations get more work done at the start as they have the business plan that allows for more flexibility and has more flexibility. Others prefer to take on large numbers at the end because it is not their job to do it all at one time. The best way to help large sized organizations improve is to have a larger team that works to be more independent from the company rather than focusing too much on all of the things that are necessary to be successful at one time. While we are seeing a lot of smaller companies increasing their P&Rs, we should expect to see more companies on the road schedule also doing some of these type of work right now. We need more than just the ability to work on the schedule. We also need to understand what a group of organizations does, because that means we need to figure out how many of them will really benefit any kind of management or investment.

The essential features of the development of strategic management, is strategy formulation, environmental scanning, evaluation and control, and strategy implementation. The actions of establishing extensive conditions and plans for the future of an organization, by using their strengths and weakness for the successful handling of environmental threats and opportunities are strategy formulation. The characteristic of environmental scanning is explained as the monitoring, evaluating, and disseminating of information from the external and internal environments to key people within the corporation (Wheelen & Hunger, 2010). Strategic maneuvers, which environmental scanning is classified to be used for will guide the future of the organization. Monitoring the organizations activities and performance in order to examine the actual results, to the ones that are setting the goals is called evaluation and control. And final the most critical part to a companys success, strategy implementation, it addresses the who, where, when, and how a company will respond in reaching the desired goals and objectives

Farmers InsuranceIn the 16 years that I have been associated with the Farmers Insurance, there have been many changes in their overall strategy. In the past 10 years there has been a marked change in the way they communicate their strategy. The company has clearly described their goals and their vision and restated their objectives yearly. “What began as a simple Car insurance company for farmers has become a multi-line, multi-company insurer and financial services group with a solid reputation for doing the right thing for the right reason” (farmers.com).
