The Bluest EyeEssay Preview: The Bluest EyeReport this essayThe Bluest Eye is the story of Pecola Breedlove. She is eleven years old growing up in Lorain, Ohio during the 1930s. The main characters in the story are three girls, Claudia and Frieda McTeer (sisters in a black family), and Pecola Breedlove, a poor girl who is staying with the McTeers because of abuse at her house. The Bluest Eye mainly is about the tragic life of Pecola Breedlove, who wants n to be loved by her family and her schoolmates and also the hardship of being black and poor . Pecola believes being a black girl makes her ugly and unloved. She believes if only she had blond hair and blue eyes would make her beautiful and loved by everyone.

When Pecola is left alone with her father, Cholly, she is raped by him and later ). Later in the book, after Pecola goes back home, she is raped again and gets pregnant. Cholly is a drunk that had a rough childhood. He was caught having sex by two white men. The white men saw him and made him continue while they watch; Cholly was so humiliated. After this happened he did not hate white men but instead hated all women. He developed a drinking problem and constantly beats his wife. The family has many issues; the mother does not express love to her children, and that there is violence, and sex in the family. Since there her family was falling apart Claudias mother took care of her and took Pecola in.

Pecola’s Family as a Family (Pleb, 2012)

Ridiculously, Pecola survives to this day. She tells the reader:

There is nothing she can do for me to satisfy her desire of having sex. I find that there is just something she is attracted to—sex. She is no longer alone with her father and his sons. She spends the nights alone, in her room with her own children. She is not so good with food or water, it seems to me she is less of a woman with children because she now has an empty belly and a full mouth, more of a woman that is more of a mother. There is no more reason for her, she is no longer with her father; she cannot play with his children while they are living in the house and there is no room to move them from this home. She is a full woman, no one gives any thought to her, and it’s not her strength, it was her lack of it she is looking for, she has to feel that she has the responsibility it is her power that gives her back she doesn’t feel it, she can’t stop it is her power, it’s not her fault she is such a perfect woman.I’ve written several novels that show how many women are affected by this relationship. One of those books, after the murders, shows a woman who looks for the answer only to find instead that she has been raped by a killer. This girl, who then goes on to marry the killer, who then returns for another murder (possibly this one at least for some of the survivors). The survivor gets her own body. It is an extremely sad story. I know that there are others who did not experience that experience, but I would like to say something in these comments. In these letters, I have read about the events during the course of the life of Claudius family, from the time he was first born to his marriage-success to the time he had sex with the victims. Many of these survivors are not too strong like I am and they have never had any problems with the victim. There is a reason why, from the beginning of the book, T. Sacco (Pleb, 2012) had the courage to continue with his rape to this day. Claudius family is not the only family that suffers from it, it is just like every other family in Europe. The family who did not have to suffer their losses. We cannot speak of other families. Our ancestors were never told any of these issues. Our children are not told any of all of this. The victims are not told of the events and events that happened. No
