JAWS FIVE PARAGRAPH REVIEW
The film is called “JAWS” this is significant as it represents what the plot of the movie is, as the theme of the movie is about a man killing shark using his jaws ( his teeth) to hunt down and kill his prey As well as this, the title shows the genre of the film is horror. Steven Spielberg directs this film in 1975, the film was the first summer blockbuster and broke all box office records, here are the reasons why this fantastic film was such a hit

The music in the film is extremely intense, there is a certain song and tempo for the shark so you know when its going to attack someone or something. There are multiple songs in this film, such as when they were chasing the shark on the boat they put an adventure kind of type of music on to excite the audience. But once the shark escapes the music stops to give a sense of failure or anticipation till we see it again. Another incident of good music control is when they were singing the song on the boat, it was a happy and joyful time until the shark started attacking the boat and it started to flood as soon as this happened the music when back to its scary suspenseful type of music to signify trouble or danger in the area.

The Camera shots were always dramatic shots or panoramic shots. Ranging From under the water to scenic shots of the environment showing where they are we see that After the shark attack his prey everything gets calm and shows a nice view of the surrounding area to show that after the sharks attack it vanishes without a trace. Another thing Spielberg did right was The camera shots from the boat never showed the main land to make it look like they were very far out at sea hunting for the shark. Another Thing Steven Spielberg did right was how he showed us who was going to get eaten next but he did it really sudley such as the case with the second victim. If you were looking closely you could see that the the lady talking to the boy had a Yellow Sunhat and her son the boy had a Yellow raft, and the man playing with the the father dog had a Yellow shirt on. Why were these people all wearing yellow a bright color that attracts your attention while all the others were wearing white and red colors that people tend to ignore because one of them was the next victim. And Steven Spielberg wanted to give the audnce a litttle hint to see if they could put two to two together. .

The shark You never get to see the shark until they decide to get on the boat, during the boat trip the shark shows up multiple times, the shark is a massive great white with a fierce face. The shark is very intelligent always finding ways to kill and escape traps. The shark broke the boat and it began sinking and murdered Quint by doing so.

In conclusion the movie itself was pretty good, the beginning was creepy/,suspenseful and downright deviant in the ways he shocks the audience. The first murder was suspenseful and unexpected the sheer lack of detail on how she died made the audience so interested was it a shark was it a octapus we didnt know at that time. The music for the Shark was very intensive and made the movie very suspenseful because throughout the movie the only time music would play would be for a murder by the shark or when Steven Spielberg wanted to scare the audience into thinking the shark was going to attack. ( such as when the researcher went into the water to investigate the shipwreck
