1.2 Background of the ReportBangladesh economy is growing rapidly. All the organizations are taking loans from banks and expand their business portfolio. For this reason, the banks corporate lending process and lending risk analysis has become an important issue. Bangladesh bank has some rules and regulations for the lending procedure. On top of that, each bank has their individual written policy. We did survey on Dhaka Bank Limited and try to focus on their Corporate Lending Procedure and Lending Risk Analysis in this report.

1.3 Scope of the ReportThe study would focus the overall Corporate Lending Procedure and Lending Risk Analysis of Dhaka Bank. It would cover services provided under corporate banking, classification of credits on the basis of time, objective and qualitative judgment, credit policy, Principalss, approval authority, and evaluation Principalss, steps in lending process, credit administration, lending risk analysis and non-compliances of Dhaka Bank Limited to Bangladesh Bank guideline.

1.4 Methodology of the ReportNature of the study: ExploratorySources of information: Both primary and secondary information sources were used to complete this study.Primary sources: We took interview from the personnel of Dhaka Bank Limited.Information collection instrument: Structured questionnaire for the interview.Secondary sources: Secondary information was collected from those company’s web sites and some other Internet based research.1.5 Limitation of the ReportThis report will only consider Corporate Lending Procedure and Lending Risk Analysis of Dhaka Bank. It will not cover the overall Lending Procedure and Lending Risk Analysis of Dhaka Bank. Beside this, we are unable to get all the information because of their internal restriction and security purpose.

We will include detailed policy of the lender and lenders, the level and depth of Lending Practices (LPE) of the bank and the Lending System of the bank. We also will also discuss the legal issues and regulatory environment and financial institution status. The report should be carried out with thorough reference to the various aspects of these issues from the business perspective and with information on the current situation of the bank’s finances in Bangladesh. We also ask the reader to provide his own opinions so that the report is balanced with the information provided by the lenders. For instance, it is common for people living in rural areas, especially at first income level, to not access bank services until after completing income tax filing procedure. We will also ask them to follow the following steps of information collection.1. Prepare the financial information using all the relevant information (not in English or in German) from the sources listed in section 3.2:1. Verify the information listed in section 3.2 1. If the information has not been accessed before 1.1.0 we cannot access the financial information for more than 5 to 20 minutes or more. Because of the possibility of confusion the information shown in section 3.2 is translated into German by the lender that provided the information to us instead of using the actual file.2. 2.0 COMPANY OVERVIEW2.1 HISTORY, DEVELOPMENT AND GROWTH OF SYNOVUSSynovus was founded in the 1880s on a single act of kindness. A mill worker at Eagle & Phenix Mill in Columbus, Georgia caught her dress in a piece of machinery. As her dress tore, her life savings, which she had sewn into her edge thinking it was the safest place for her money, spilled across the floor.

G. Gunby Jordan, the mill’s secretary and treasurer, happened by and offered to keep her money in the mill safe and pay her monthly interest on the deposits. He soon offered the same service to all the mill workers. These first deposits inspired Mr. Jordan to establish the institution that years later became Columbus Bank and Trust Company, Synovus’ lead bank.
