In the first part of the movie Gladiator we saw and met the main character of the movie Maximus. We learn that he is an extraordinary fighter because he beat the Germans with his army. We also see the entire Roman army fighting the Germans. Maximus also has a wife and child. The emperor of Rome in this film is Marcus Aralias. His son wants and would become Emperor if Marcus had told him he is not giving him the throne. Out of anger he pretends to hug Marcus and strangles him to death. So he becomes emperor but out of jealousy he orders Maximus to be put to death. The executioners were going to behead him and Maximus says something like kill me like an honorable solder. So they go to stab the sword into the back of his neck and he catches the sword blow and ends up killing all of the executioners and the guards then escaped. Then it shows the person who ordered his death riding by horse back with other solders on their way to kill Maximuses wife and child. Then the last
