We have read the two texts ā€œAinā€™t I a woman?ā€ by Sojourner Truth and ā€œIncidents in the lifeā€¦ā€ by Harriet Jacobs in which both of them are slaves and how their stories have in common and how their views of morality differ.

Sojourner Truth is an African-American slave and is fighting anti slavery through
her words and is encouraging other African-American people to have an equal life, justice and respect like the white people are experiencing. She fought for her freedom by her words, ā€œThat man over there says women need to be helped into carriages and lifted over ditches and to have the best place everywhereā€. She defended the man and concluded that he was right. Nevertheless, she said ā€œThen that little man in black there he says women canā€™t have as much rights as men, ā€˜cause Christ wasnā€™t a man!ā€. This made Sojourner Truth so mad because of being immoral of the man.
