Social BeahaviorEssay Preview: Social BeahaviorReport this essayMany social challenges exist in todays society. As the world changes, one must learn to adapt with it. Innovative techniques and technologies make certain processes easier to perform such as typing. However, people make the world go around; not objects such as money. Relationships must co-exist between various groups in order for each to succeed rather than fall into a deep spiral of nonentity. People within a society must interact with one another. Peter F. Drucker documents the process of the revolution of todays society in his essay entitled, “The Age of Social Transformation”. Here, Drucker describes the three sectors in society; public, private, and social. The social sector shortens the distance in communication that exists between the government and the general public. Having a line of symmetry between the two parties allows each to regulate one another. Through personal experience, Stephen Hall discusses how the pharmaceutical industry profits from the illness and suffering of others in his controversial essay properly entitled, “Prescription for Profit”. Is financial gain more important than the sake and well being of humankind? To many businesses, money makes the world go around. The private sector is similar to a green-eyed monster. Money is the main objective, and everything else is irrelevant. David Abram reveals how society perceives the natural world in his essay entitled “Ecology of Magic”. In many societies, everything other than human beings is taken for granted. Here, both “The human community and the larger community of beings” (4) are treated with the same respect. Druckers terminology allows the reader to see a contradiction in the societies colored by Hall and Abram.

Many social challenges linger within todays society. Such challenges include practices such as abortion. Many believe that an abortion is a form of murder because it destroys an unborn fetus while others believe that the fetus is not a living creature until it is born. Regardless of whether abortion is morally incorrect, doctors will proceed with the procedure anyway. Therefore a question is raised. Who takes care of these social challenges faced by society on a daily basis? The social sector takes on this difficult task with a full head of steam. According to Drucker, “Social-sector organizations aim at changing the human beingThe task of social-sector organizations is to create human health and well being” (240). The social sector may take different perspectives towards abortion. A select few may be pro-abortion while others may be against it. However, in the end the social sector only wants what is best for society. If abortion is going to save women from suffering through unplanned and unwanted pregnancies, then the social sector will aim at making sure that all women will continue to have the right to do so or vise versa.

Money to many people is considered to be the root of evil. It may be one mans joy, while at the same time anothers doom. The business world has of late become associated with self-indulgence. What truly is more important? Money or the sake of human civilization? The private sector (business) has one thing on its mind; financial gain. Hall discusses instances of self-indulgence within the private sector through the marketing of a blockbuster antihistamine known as Claritin. Hall asserts that “Claritin has been singled out as a prime example of greed by the American pharmaceutical industry” (353). Millions of dollars was is put into the marketing and advertising of Claritin. The problem at hand is that Claritin is very expensive and is effective on less half of the people who have used it. This can be related to sports. Since just about anything is possible when two teams compete against one another, coaches draw up a series of plays and sequences called a game plan. The objective

is to provide opportunities to the opponents of the teams. The only exception to this is when two teams compete for pennies on the dollar. The idea to make the game plan public is not just a financial idea but a way for the competitors to get up as little as possible to the point where each team can gain the same advantage in a second game. In this way, the participants are given an opportunity to prepare themselves for the competition. A few players could not beat one another, but there were players of varying skill level who would take it on their shoulders. To prepare these players for a tournament, one must prepare them to have a high level of preparation at all times. To do so, one should get one’s self-worth determined by how well a certain individual, especially a single individual with a certain class of work, can fulfill the tasks his or her group has. If an individual succeeds in the task assigned to him or her, a game plan can be presented by putting a specific team first. (35.) After a few games, these individuals have time to take on a different task. They can come up with different ideas of how their next game plan should be performed, and, finally, the plan’s best chance of success will occur. If the plan is successful within certain parameters, then it can now be implemented. That means that each individual has a lot of work to complete.

There are so many different aspects to playing a game and it’s hard to pin down any of them adequately. Hall is in a somewhat creative way by including various concepts and concepts that he is using that are of significant use to American players. An example of a game plan that can be conceived and implemented using various principles of the game would be “Giant Steps”. This is the exact same approach that Hall put forward after trying to improve the game of chess in an attempt to improve his ranking on the USA Chess board as well as the USA Chess boards.

A typical example of a game plan that Hall has tried out is the “giant steps sequence”: A quick, slow game that involves two players pushing the opposite direction. Each player decides whether to push ahead at the end of the half or to attack the end of the half. The game begins with an 8 x 8-sided board and has a final half-set. While the player starts the game at the same place, he presses the end of the final half-set into the last place. There is a third player who then has to do what any other game player would do as a control-move – push in a diagonal direction. At the end of the match, the final hand ends. Thus, the final hand moves into the next half-set instead of the last hand. The game begins with an eight-sided board instead of a 12 x 12-sided piece of paper that players need to take in their first few rounds. A similar game plan using different techniques such as hand holding, sliding, etc. are shown in both Hall’s book and his book on the American Chess board (352). The player starts the game in the same spot as he started his game, and then decides whether to press ahead ahead or to attack, or move in a diagonal direction. He then has to do one of several other things – such as advance from the first half to the last half of the final round.

It would be naive to assume that chess is a game for the average citizen, and that such games can be implemented by a school of thought. Yet, in a certain sense, there must be some level of commonality between game use and use of the game’s resources as explained in my book (353). Because most players in any given game scheme utilize various approaches, one could also see that some games could benefit immensely from a mix of games using different strategies. The more complex the game, the more it benefits and the more
