I chose the Titanic and ocean liners as my topic because ever since I was seven years
Old I have been interested in how the huge ocean liners from one hundred years ago

Guests. I was puzzled how a ship could not provide enough lifeboats because in modern
Society, no matter what class ticket a person purchases, everyone has an equal chance of
Surviving. I wanted to study the technology and the social hierarchy that were at work.
I began my research with studying the history of ocean liners and cruise ships from
1867 to modern day to understand the evolution of technological advancements. I then
Began looking at a variety of secondary sources, such as scholarly articles from JSTOR and I looked at many pictures
That was taken during the construction of the Titanic and the steps from construction to launching. Lastly, I found newspaper articles from 1912 to receive an understanding of the
Impact of the ship on society during the early 20th century.
I chose to construct a website because I thought I could display my knowledge best
In this format. The website format allows me to show pictures and video clips of the ship
