Sir Richard Branson was born in the United Kingdom in 1950. At the age of sixteen he started his first business which was a paper in which he created after he left school. Branson was a good student which is why he decided to leave school prior to graduating.

Branson did not let life get him down, he later started a mail order company then eventrually a record label business. This business later grew to what we are now familiar with called Virgin Records. One would think this would be enough for Richard since Virgin Records was booming in the eighties and ninties. This was not the last thing Richard did, he then ventured into the airlines which is what we know as Virgin Atlantic Airways. One other area Richard ventured into was Virgin Galactic which is a space tourism company. Richard was trying to allow for trips around the globe and to one day be able to offer a trip to the moon. Richard Branson is something else, as of today, he has over two hundred companies.

Branson has been very successful all these years. This businessman definitely has great leadership style and the drive to go for more and not settle for anything less than perfect. If I had to choose a leadership style for Branson it would be the Transformational Leadership style.

Transformational Leadership involves someone who can anticipate any trends for the future. This professional always inspires his employees at any level. The traits he has is to inspire those around him and embrace the vision he has which helps people to look for the future and wait to become strong leaders themselves.

This leadership style that he has can be seen in all his companies from employees at any stage of their careers. These leaders are very assertive, they have visions and they take all kinds of risks and are extremely ethical. In order to be successful
