There are four guidelines for effective feedback:
Describe the situation or behavior
specifically
without making assumptions
in concrete terms, not judgments
Explain your reaction to the behavior, or the consequences of the behavior

related to the behavior, not the person
calmly
without exaggeration
Request a change (if needed)

invite discussion
Express the potential results of change (if needed).
