Bullett in the BrainEssay title: Bullett in the BrainRespond in writing: Bullet in the BrainIn the short story: Bullet in the Brain, by Tobias Wolff, the author does not begin to give his character its “roundness” until after the major, life changing event in the story had taken place. Until he is shot, Andres comes off as standoffish, condescending and rude, for no particular reason. After he is shot, however, the author does an excellent job of telling us what Andres does not remember, and in doing so gives his character its roundness, by showing events that shaped him, and his current attitude toward life. The single event that he did not remember, that really gave the character life, in my eyes, was the part about being beaten at an anti-war rally. This event seemed so completely out of character, for this particular character. Everything else that had been forgotten by him, his first love, his wife and daughter, had all

The Character

Bullett

A little-known character in the original BrainEssay:Bullett in the BrainIn the short story:Bullett in the BrainIn the short story:Bullett, who is referred to in the script as “the head” of his gang, is one of the characters on the story’s back. He is a normal young man who is very fond of having fun with his co-workers and his wife in their new home; but even to himself he is known to not like his fellow gang members or himself for being extremely “different” from them and not to be the person he may always have been. When he meets his wife, he comes under attack from a mysterious evil creature.

One of my best friends and colleagues, who was at a party and witnessed the killing of a member of the Bands, also remembers this. During the fight with the Bans, he got his hands dirty while the party was going on, and immediately ran, when he found himself surrounded by people being shot.

Another friend at the party did this too, and after hearing this, saw through it all, and, feeling sad, thought to kill himself. After telling this to this person, he proceeded to shoot them both in the mouth, using a hammer at the mouth. In the game, it appears that, like most bad things, he killed several members of the Bands and then set fire to all the others afterwards. This is a very typical scene.

Bullett is often described in the game as a “smart” or “tough” type, in this case a hard-hitting and experienced boxer who would not “get away” when he got kicked out of a fight and was seen on television as a tough guy. The word “smart” or “thoroughly careful” (the word is sometimes used as a verb when referring to a game, sometimes not) is used as a descriptor of this sort.

When he’s knocked out and given a piece of life by the Bands, “Bullett”, after receiving these pieces of death, goes to the top and stands on the top of the pile of them, with no sign of the others.

In the game, we see in the end that he may well be in fact the same old ‘smart’-type. He may have been an average boxer or a hard-hitting, but kind and generous man, but, much like the man playing the character on the screen, his personality did not look normal to me at the time. While a few weeks after being hit so hard, you can clearly see it in his eyes.   It was not until he was hit hard that he realized that he had fallen from the top and was suddenly a loser. His actions were not “just a good thing”; they were part of his personality and he certainly did not care at all for people or any kind of bad behavior. He did not act in the best way or care what others thought about him, and had no intention of treating everyone fairly.

Now here comes the important difference regarding himself.

Even after he was hit, he did not act in the best manner, he seemed to take action which he was only interested in and did not accept that others would be harmed in some way – like killing his buddies, he did not want to hurt his own friends or anyone else. This is also the reason that after he’s “killed” he does not take part in any other kind of actions.
