Shaun White – SnowboardingEssay Preview: Shaun White – SnowboardingReport this essayShaun White – SnowboardingShaun White was nicknamed Future Boy when he first started competing as a pro. He was only 13 but was already pushing the limits of snowboarding. White established a rep for getting big air and tying together snowboarding tricks in ways that had never been done before. In 2003, Shaun stomped all over the Winter X Games and every other event he entered. Shaun White won the gold medal in the slopestyle and the superpipe and also took the Games best-athlete award. A month later, Shaun became the youngest snowboarder to win the US Open Slopestyle Championship. Shaun has medaled every year he has participated in the Winter X Games. He currently has 11 medals, seven of which are gold!

I recently read an entry by Shaun White at the end of the story I wrote. It is the original and most interesting piece entitled “The Return of Shaun White, Winter and a Snowboarding Dream…” It is very interesting to read because it shows us that Shaun was a guy that could not just simply walk. Although he began riding in all his races and took them on at times, Shaun was never shy to ride even in a rain or snowstorm, he did not just take the best of each stage.

Now back to Shaun. What is his history with snowboarding? After the event he stated that the world has a lot of people who have had an effect on him. He does not have an answer for a number of things:

He had an Olympic gold medal in the snowboarding of 2008.

He had a winning race in 2015 in South Africa.

He was the fourth world champion of snowboard in five years, the first being in 2011 in the slopestyle.

Shaun had not had any training in snowboarding before this, instead staying a member of Team Snowboard for three years before becoming a part of Team Sky who were both part of the US Snowboard Development Academy and a member of American SnowBoard, a team at Mount Everest base camp. Shaun had also been part of The Snowboard Alliance of Winter 2015, which he participated in while in London in December.

His first race back was his best time on 3,004.6 mph, it was the second straight fastest time he had done this year and first time at speeds over 5,600 miles per hour, 4.3 mph faster than the previous year.

For all of his high level competition he did do some nice stuff this year at the Games, he had to use snowboarders and his friends as props. He was also great in “Snowboarding by a Rock” – climbing all kinds of mountains.

He had been to some awesome times back in the early 90s when he was only just joining the Snowboarding Alliance, this was during the early 90s when his team had just built a snowboard house, and his wife, Anna, had already been at the team. She stayed with us for six days, the last one coming at 6 a.m. with the hope being that she would see him on the ice during the day, he had never wanted to get up there so early. The snowboarders and his friends put themselves in his shoes and he took them to several resorts of different locations around the globe.

If it is only two days of training and then a weekend in the snow, I should have gotten up there. But, I went to get some of the best food out of the resorts and ice skating, and I got to see the great outdoors in a snowboarding arena. I saw the most fantastic people and the best shows – I had my picture taken for the video but I was only able to put it on on my computer. Some people really did walk all the way up this road.

My next thought was how

Shaun White – SkateboardingAfter setting new standards in the world of snowboarding, Shaun decided to make his mark in skateboarding. White joined Tony Hawk on his Gigantic Skatepark Tour in 2002 and made his pro skateboarding debut at the 2003 Slam City Jam. Shaun finished fourth in the vert half pipe, which qualified him for the 2003 X Games, where he finished sixth in the vert competition. Shaun is also a very creative – he is the only skater to attempt a 1080, although he is yet to land it. In 2007, he won his first Summer X Games medal in vert.

Shaun White – Back In Black And GoldIn December 2005, Shaun White qualified for the 2006 Winter Olympics in halfpipe snowboarding by winning two US Olympic team qualifying events in Breckenridge, Colorado. He became an Olympic champion after winning the gold medal in halfpipe snowboarding in Turin, Italy. His gold-medal run included back-to-back 900s and was run with AC/DCs Back In Black as his background song.
