Independence
Freedom from control, are the three words that independence stands for. People could look at it in two ways, there is the individual independence or the over all one which would be apply when their country becomes independent. But I believe that the individual definition is the one that engages more to what independence really is; the reason to this is because when a person is independent they have self-determination, self- reliance and self-rule; having independence means that a person doesn’t depend on anybody but themselves. The word independence is composed of in- “un-, not” + dependent, dependent is best described for relying on someone to survive. In order for a person to be independent there has to be some responsibility, you have to work hard to win it and be willing to fall, just to get back up and keep fighting for it; people have too look after themselves and figure out how to support themselves. It is all an individual work; a way to learn about yourself and what you are capable of. Having the freedom of speaking out your mind, of making any decisions you want is what independence it’s all about; it would never be easy to conquest but once you do, it would be worth everything you went through. The way I see it, you can’t always be living as a shadow of someone, people don’t live forever so if one day the person that supports you dies, you have to figure out a way to look after yourself , and that’s when your journey of being independent would have to begin, even thought it should of began way before
