The way normal everyday people use the term “personality” seems quite different from the way personality psychologists define the term. Everyday people make observations of other people to determine the kind of personality they have; consequently, our text refers to this as a value judgment. Therefore the study of experiment is usually not very relevant in the research or research studies.
