Analytical psychology
Analytical psychology is part of the Jungian psychology movement started by Carl Jung (1875-1961) and his followers. It is founded by Carl Jung and derived from Sigmund Freuds psychoanalysis. It is a Psychoanalysis that has the concept of libido or life energy as the dominant force. Its aim is to seek the personal experience of the inner most forces and motivations underlying human behavior. It is distinct from Freudian psychoanalysis.

Jung believed humans are either extrovert or introvert and they perceive experience through sensing, feeling, thinking, or intuition. And only one of these dominant in any individual. The unconscious mind not only contains suppressed elements but also faculties that wasnt allowed to develop.

Cognitive psychology is one of the more recent additions to psychological research, since the late 1950s and early 1960s . It accepts the use of the scientific method. It rejects introspection as a valid method of investigation, unlike phenomenological methods such as Freudian psychology. Cognitive psychology was able to flourish with the active research in artificial intelligence in the 1960s and 1970s.
