Ruby Tuesday Inc. is a restaurant designed for casual dining. The development of the
business was by Sand yBeall III and his fraternity brothers near the University of Tennesse. Over
the years, the companys endeavors profited to the creation of a new facility every nine months.
Ruby Tuesday presently has about seven hundred and seventy restaurants. Three hundred of
them are real estate investments while the rest are leased entity. These facilities spread over
forty-seven states, fifteen countries among one hundred and eleven franchises. Ruby Tuesday has
tried to entry new markets with it acquisition of Lime Fresh Mexican Grille, Marlin & Ruby
Seafood & Sunsets, and Truffles eatery. The failure of Marlin & Ruby Seafood & Sunset and
Truffle eatery was sold along with four closure to Lime Fresh Mexican Grille.
This evaluation for this business will be based on strengths, weaknesses, opportunities
and threats analysis. Based on the Nasdag Stock Reports for this first fiscal quarter 2014 ( RT) is
being sold for S5.97 and down S1.69 from last quarter.(“Fis,” 2012, p. 1)
The company has tried to reimage itself has an upscale dining with better-quality wines,
repast with a higher pricing, however; this also failed. The branding of Ruby Tuesday is the
informal dining of a bar & grille, family service, courtesy, and higher quality foods. ” Goals
