The Roman Empire suffered many problems in its final years, well six to be a little more exact and they are the following: social castes, political reasons, military reasons, immorality forgetting the past, and forgetting the bonds that tied the nation together. Social castes because ambitious people who were poor were stuck and could not work their way up and that was because it was decreed that the fathers occupation would be that of his children. Political reasons because armies were the ones who settled political issues instead of politics because it was an easier way to settle things. Military reasons because armies found a way to gain and hold power.

The Roman Empire has many lasting achievements. One of them was by making travel faster by adding roads, bridges, and highways. Another achievement was creating aqueducts so the need for water would be satisfied. A third achievement was making laws so peace could be kept in the empire. A fourth achievement was the spread of Christianity. And a fifth achievement was that women were given rights.

Today, the Roman Empire influences our community in many ways and I will give you three examples of them. The first example is that today women have rights like those of Rome. The second example is that now a lot of people, but not all, are Christians and in Rome were all Christians because of law. The third example is that today we have pipes to bring us water and pipes were made after the aqueducts of Rome.
