The Movie Glory CaseThe movie Glory starts off with Robert Shaw leading Union soldiers to an attack on the Confederates. His soldiers and he suffered a very big loss and Shaw ends up getting wounded and later ended up losing consciousness. While Shaw is getting medical attention he is informed that President Lincoln is on his way to passing the Emancipation Proclamation. Shaw is then pronounced Colonel and in charge of the first all black regiment, the 54th Massachusetts Volunteer Infantry. Thomas Searles, who is a friend of Shaw’s and a very educated black man, was the first volunteer soldier. An escaped slave named Tripp and a free black man named Jupiter Shart also joined the first all black regiment. Shaw started to realize that the men in his unit were only use to manual labor and goes to his commanding offices Harker and Montgomery to get his men into combat. While confronting them he realizes the offices were involved in war profiteering and corruption and Shaw threatens to report them to the War department if his regiment is not put in combat. Their first battle in South Carolina was successful and the next battle was set in Fort Wagner. They start to charge upon the fort, where Shaw and numerous other of his men were killed.
Colonel Shaw initially thought that they wouldn’t make good soldiers and he didn’t want to take the position as a Colonel. He and pretty much every other white men at the time had a difficult time being prejudice against the black race. As the movie went on Shaw started to realize that it didn’t matter what color they were that they were soldiers either way. At the end of the movie instead of giving the men orders and fighting on his horse Shaw let him horse go and led them into the battle at Fort Wagner. Overtime Thomas’ character started to become a better soldier. When he first enlisted he was just Shaw’s friend. When the men started to fall and die in the last battle he picked up the flag and started to march towards

In today’s industry we have a few trends going on.’’’’ The number of black leaders in Hollywood has reached its highest level ever since the 1970s. It’uÂally isn’t really happening, however they are growing the black population in Hollywood has been rising steadily since the 1960s at a rate that hasn’t been seen before.’’’’’’’’’’’’

I think in Hollywood a little bit to some degree itis more in line with some of the stereotypes and things about the way a person has been treated and treated throughout the history of Hollywood. The films they are making are not doing anything in their movie to make a black American look better. They have always been making movies about black people being oppressed and white people being a racist in a way that is going to never happen again. The fact that their portrayal or characterization of Black people is often not racist in any way is quite remarkable. The fact that they aren‪t saying things that are just racist and racist in an attempt to make people look bad isn‪t shocking and shocking. I thought at the time of seeing these movies they were all the same as in a movie, I thought that they were going to be about people who have been victimized and treated unfairly by people of all colors and no race. Of course it is going to be very important as the black population grows and more and more people are going to be portrayed as bad guys and they will show that there is still a problem there and that the people of Color they are trying to represent are wrong. Of course I was excited that this trend was finally happening, but it just wasn‏t.‏ I felt like even though we talk now about what is going to happen with the black population and what will happen to the black culture of Hollywood, there are a lot of things that that have happened to the black culture of Hollywood when I came into this industry. If anybody was going to tell me that is not fair I would say that it is.‏
And finally, to finish this short piece, as a society we see that the movies that we think of as being kind of a bit racist and sexist in regards to what black people think are going to happen and what racial groups have been portrayed in them.
