Step 9: Report Writing
According to the text in Sekaran, there are three types of reports, one of which is to delve into details of specific conditions in a given situation (Sekaran, 2003). The authors of this article made their intentions very clear. It was their aim to provide a study that had extensive studies and gathered data to examine the effects of teams, company-wide profit-sharing, and group-related pay on productivity (Jones, D.C., Kalmi, P., & Kauhanen, A., 2010). The purpose of this paper was to provide insight into a Human Resource Management section that provides more than one HRM practice on productivity. The authors of the report had done an efficient job in explaining this. The authors wrote a very detailed report on various Human Resource Management practices on productivity and how different practices proved to be more successful than others.

The authors of this research provided a more illustrative report and as in Sekaran it would be explained that the authors were clear in their research and the purpose of the research (Sekaran, 2003). The second type of report writing that Sekaran describes is more in line with Sales Proposals and how to make decisions based on sales (Sekaran, 2003). The report at hand does not provide any ideas as to sales and how those affect wages. It is merely discussing productivity and practices that increase productivity in the workplace. Therefore, it is evident that this portion of Sekarans sales techniques does not apply to our research (Sekaran, 2003).

The report by the authors is very clearly written in the sense that it is very descriptive and provides a lot of history and background information. However, it is not as clear as Sekaran would prefer. Deciphering the context could take time for some one who was initially reading it quickly for answers. The wonder of this article is that it is not written in the first person and no where is “I” used. It is kept very informational. But the authors had an even flow of information and kept form (Sekaran, 2003).

Step 10: Presentation
The articles presentation is great. It clearly follows the Sekaran Model in that it follows the format of the report. It is in order as it begins with the introduction and leads into the literary review, theoretical framework, research design, evidence, findings and conclusion. There are graphs and tables presented to show how each HRM regime correlates with each other. Each is properly and strategically placed. The mathematical formulas that were used when computing the data are used when formulating data and were described in easy terms for the reader. According to Sekaran, following the order chronologically makes it easy for the reader to follow (Sekaran, 2003).
