Classical Liberal Thinkers
Classical liberal thinkersI agree with John Locke’s quote. The reason being is because I believe that in government regulations and the equality of all people. Actions that I could take/would participate in helping in is playing a fair amount of tax based off of my income in order to helps society as a collective group rather than using the less fortunate for my own benefit.I agree with John Stuarts quote. The reason is because I believe that if society ran on an individualist mindset only the wealthy would take advantage of it, and poverty rates will eventually rise as the lower/middle class is suffering the most. If I had a strong enough voice, I would obviously vote for a more collective opinion rather than allowing one person or group to make the decisions for all citizens.I strongly agree with Montesquieu’s quote. I agree with his fact on “he who commands the execution of the laws generally thinks himself above them.” I agree with this quote to a certain extent. People in the government who have the power to do very serious things that may effect everybody feel as if they are above everyone else in society. Montesquieu also claims that when this happens, things tend to go the governments way rather than coming to a conclusion about an issue as a whole.I disagree with Thomas Hobbes quote. The reason is because he believes that individualism will get you a long way and will allow you to be more successful if you pave your own path rather than getting help from others. I strongly disagree with this because not everyone is born rich, and without the help of a collectivist society, many people would be living on the streets and not being able to find a job to sustain basic needs. I resolve to promote collectivism as we should all come in as a whole and help one another be successful
