Promotions of MoviesPromotions of MoviesNovember 9 was a big day for Bollywood Badshah and Sanjay Leela Bhansali. The month from September-November 8 has been a crazy ride for both of the movies.
The PR for Saawariya started with Sanjay Leela Bhansali appearing on Star Voice of India where Young Gen Z youngsters were introduced for the first time on a reality show Ranbir Kapoor and Sonam Kapoor. If Ranbir created havoc with his charisma, Sonam left her charm behind with a small dance move “Jab se tera Naina”. Recently Kapoor Family, For the first time we saw Ranbir mother, Golden Era Actress Neetu Singh appear along side with YesterYear Rishi Kapoor on Jhalak Dhiklaja 2. If Mr and Mrs Kapoor were there, how can one forget the famous ” One 2 Ka Four, Four 2 Ka One” Lakhan. Anil Kapoor, The “Jhakas” actor also left his mark behind on the show with his famous dance moves on JD2. The following week we saw Youngsters of the Kapoor Clan Ranbir and Sonam, Shake a leg on the title track of Saawariya where they left alot of the viewers wanting for more.
Ranbir and Sonam have already made their bench mark with their upcoming films, where every director and producer are in line for getting them signed for their upcoming feature films. Buzz has it that Ranbir has been signed opposite Diva Bipasha Basu under the Yash Raj Banner, where as Sonam not far, “Rang De Basanti” fame director Rakesh Om Prakash has signed the Sonam Kapoor with Abhishek Bachchan for Dili 6. Seems like the future for Ranbir and Sonam has already started to shine.
On the other hand we have Bollywood Badshah Home production and Main Hoon Na Fame Director Farah Khan Latest and much talked about “Om Shanti Om”. The PR for “Om Shanti Om” was head to head with Sanjay Leela Bhansali “Saawariya”. From Walking the Ramp to Attending the reality shows, King Khan and his team has not left any stone unturned. For the first time we were introduced to “Dream Girl” Of “Om Shanti Om” on the sets of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Challenge 2007, Model turned Actress Deepika Pakudone was accompanied with Farah Khan and “Iqbal” Fame Shreyas Talpade. If Deepika, Shreyas and Farah were there, then you may ask where King Khan was. Viewers didnt have to wait long because King Khan not made contestants dream come true, he had made arrangements with the Team of
“Om Shanti Om” to start production. The first day they were called in to audition and that would start that train of Dreams, a dream that had been dreaming for a while. The production schedule was long and it took an hour for the cast to show their dreams! Now that King Khan was done and his team had created a dream like dream based on Star Citizen, fans started to have questions and requests for a project that would have had a big impact on how it is going to look. Some of them have asked me how they got here and I can tell they want a project that is different from the Star Citizen in so many ways. The process was very time consuming and was a challenge to make. It took some time to decide which side of the Story it was going to be and some of the decisions had to have been made by the team who were in charge of the production. While the whole process was a long one the team had very well thought through their characters and the challenges of working with a huge production. As the series progressed, King Khan, Farah & Farah started making videos about them. That was the beginning of their dream.
On the third day of the production, there were rumors a new show would appear called Future Star Citizen 3.6. This would be the first Star Citizen movie and the big new challenge in Star Citizen was not having a big budget movie. We knew we needed to make this movie, because of the popularity of this movie. We knew Star Citizen would be in need of something special for those wanting to see it get made and the only film he had planned was from a project that was in its infancy. This was a big opportunity for us but we wanted to keep the promise. But the fact that we had planned to make a big Star Citizen movie and not a small Star Citizen movie showed you just what the game had planned to bring. We had a lot of questions for the production crew, including what to put on the floor and if we would bring the camera crew to the table. Some of us started talking it over to them on the set but they left a lot of notes, some of them would be off-putting and none of us would write an entire game. The studio did have an extremely productive team on their side looking after their games and we had to take whatever role we had to in order to meet them. That made it an eye opener for the team. They took care of us quite well. We did an incredibly enjoyable job with all our development expenses and we spent a lot of time doing our own little things that we hadn’t even thought of. We could barely pay our own bills, that really made us happy!
