College Life
Community college and four year universities are both excellent choices, but are meant for different types of people taking into account their living situations, the ratio of students to a professor and tuition.

The living arrangements of a community college and four year university are far more different. Universities give a student the chance to become more independent and provide the excitement of living on their own. Living in dorms, or housing on campus at universities also allows more freedom rather than going to a community college where dorms are not available. In both cases students may meet many new people, but the dorms and housing on campus provide better ways for social gatherings. Along with students living at a university, it forces students to grow up quicker because parents will not be there all of the time. Yet, for some students it may be too overwhelming to just pack up and have to start providing for oneself, which is why a community college may be a smart choice for them. Universities do have advantages, but many can still live at home and still enjoy their college experience.

The interaction between students and professors are diverse in a community college and four year university. Community colleges offer more contact with the professors because there tends to be fewer students in each class. This is good for students who get distracted easily because students can ask more questions and avoid falling behind or getting lost. Having fewer students in each class gives the student more one on one time with their professor and this can benefit them while learning. At universities there is less interaction with the students because classrooms are filled with about one hundred students at a time to one professor. Although students receive more attention while being educated at a community college, universities offer students to have a different type of education. For example, universities offer you to receive a Bachelors degree, Masters degree, and Doctorates degree. In a university a student can have more options in getting a higher education, but at a community college students are offered more help and interaction with professors.

As you can see universities and community colleges both benefit a student on getting a start in life, but the living situations, teacher interaction, and tuition has a huge impact on a student when choosing a school.
