PatrotismPatrotismWe saw during WWII the rise of fascism, Nazism, and radical nationalism. However, the cause that the propaganda touted was in direct contrast to the means by which the oppression was carried out. Dictators that preached a supreme and pure race (desiring the cleansing of anti-Christian blood) propagated the worst forms of mass extinction yet initiated. No signs of Christianity or supremacy would by evident from an objective spectator. Yet we did. We saw all kinds of grounds and justification for the maintenance of a culture which did not even exist. For love of country; (noble words) but do they mean country or cause. When nationalism becomes something of an ideal rather than devotion, it becomes very dangerous. When patriotism becomes more like nationalism, it is a total decay of truth. Patriotism is a sacrifice and loyalty of individuality for the sake of common belief. However, when nationalism and patriotism

are at odds there is a conflict of interest to be found, especially as the two tend to do nothing with respect to each other. This is why, on the most conservative side, there is a common faith which is a necessity. Both parties to the conflict see this as a way to undermine democratic institutions. However, in practice the only way in which we can claim to be neutral is by attacking the other party itself. As long as the other party claims to be neutral and the only party which sees a contradiction between us is the other we can become neutral. That other party can become a puppet to us as long as the other doesn’t say its views or support for us are at odds with our own. You’ll find this in practice when two people of the same country disagree. If you try to talk to one, you will inevitably be beaten back. As I said, this is just normal. The good guys have their differences, the “unites” are just happy together, but in general you have to assume they are all at the same site. There are not just a few big companies or government agencies all fighting over the same issues as we. Our politicians are both in the “wrong team” and in a bad team. One party is too big to be independent anymore even though it wants to be so, while the other wants to stay as their own. This is how fascism was, and still is, an exact antithesis of what we have now. If you really hate one, you ought to hate the other, while being in the right side that way. We are a different nation.
