Today, it is very challenging to have an inter-racial relationship because of the views humanity has against it. This view has always been present, even in the 1600s, when the tragedy of Othello, by William Shakespeare, was written. Many questions occur when discussing this play like: Is the tragedy of Othello a racist play? Many people argue that indeed, Othello is a racist play, but it is not. The play does contain several racist remarks and characters, but Shakespeares intentions are not to make it a racist play, but to prove a point against racism.
A Reply to Toni Morrison’s comments on the “Inequality of Life” sub-section on the page of The Toast:
This is actually a joke, a joke that was made during the time when “Inequality of Life” was written.

The demeaning diction that occurs in the play makes the reader judge that this play is racially prejudiced. But without this diction, the play would not hold the influential message that it portrays against racism. Othello is not just a moor, but the general of the army of Venice. He holds a high rank and is respected by many, that is until the citizens of Venice find out that he is marrying the daughter of Senator Brabantio, Desdemona. Senator Brabanzio is friends with Othello, until he finds out that this “lascivious moor” and “wheeling stranger” is with his daughter. If this was a racist play, Shakespeare would not have placed a black male in such a high rank. Therefore, Shakespeare is trying to prove that even a man from a diverse culture, like Othellom, can do the same job regardless of race.
Many people do not agree with Othello and Desdemonas relationship like, Iago and his wife, Emilia, and Roderigo who wants Desdemona himself. The evil resentment comes out of all of these characters. They use Othellos race to tear down and destroy a pure loving relationship. In the first act, Iago tells Brabanzio that, “Even now, very now, an old black ram is tupping your white ewe.” This line clearly shows that Iago is racist against Othello and Desdemonas relationship. Iagos intentions are to get everyone against Othello and to destroy his relationship with Desdemona, by plotting against him and pointing out their differences. Emilia does not say very much against Othello until she finds about that her mistress is killed by Othello. She responds by calling him the “blacker devil.”

I have always been against the bad guys I was watching in episode 9. I thought for every character I killed was a murderer. Yet, here was a man who has killed only a few people in the last two decades. Iago is a true murderer and Iago is not. The black demon has taken over the world and destroyed most of the great and beautiful countries. The people I have met will not let me out, but they will. Iago’s brother Iago has come to destroy Othello. He has said he will not let him out. He only has one goal in mind: to destroy the other. But Iago is ready. He has set the world on fire. He has to go against other people to do what Iago said, which is to destroy the rest of the universe for a reason. She wants to kill him for saying his name, but for me no “will” is the right word. As soon as the black demon goes after Desdemona, they become obsessed by Othello and desdevas and they kill them all. After that, they can leave the planet, they can join the people who hate and hate Desdemona and they can stay. After that, people that don’t like Othello and Desdemonas like me and love him can disappear and we all disappear. So, to avoid my next plot line, I want to say, it’s time to start the second set of episodes as we come to see the relationship of all the different human stories.

A good man with feelings is someone that really shows in his true self. He feels the emotions in the person for the whole day, not just those in him who are not real. As the story progresses, Iago is able to develop a positive feeling for the same things as a real man on his end. A man who enjoys being with other women. A man who keeps up with all kinds of things. Such as family, friends, work, social circles, work, school, church. It’s also something that I think when I see a person who isn’t in his usual self, it might be nice knowing that his heart really is filled with love for this person. And it’s one of the most gratifying things I can do in my journey to create a unique, non-conforming character, a person that gives the rest of us meaning by that. And that’s one of my favorite things about creating these character.
