Public opinion is what the common people in a country think about the decisions the government is making. Foreign policy is a set of political goals that outlines how a state will interact with other states and non-state actors. Public opinion stems from and is influenced by the media, what the media reports is what the public believes. Public opinion should be considered in foreign policy decisions because the people are the ones who elect the politicians that make the decisions that shape and change the foreign policy of a country, this of course is only true with democracies. Public opinion should also be considered in foreign policy decisions because the decisions that the government makes could send the country to war and in sending your country to war soldiers die and if the people dont support the cause that the soldiers are dying for the government shouldnt keep sending them to die.

Foreign policies are generally designed to help protect a countrys national interests, national security, ideological goals, and economic prosperity. Public opinion is influenced by a number of different variables; for example public relations, the political media, and the mass media are all used to influence the opinion of the public. Public relations is the art and science of maintaining communication between a government and its public to build, maintain, and sustain a positive image. The mass media uses a number of different advertising techniques to get there message out and change the minds of the people. A common technique that is used is propaganda; propaganda is a specific type of message aimed directly at influencing the behavior and opinion of the people instead of providing unbiased information to the people. Propaganda is a powerful tool used by the government controlled media

Public opinion provides information about the government and government actions and actions taken by government.

According to Robert A. Kagan, author of “A History of Popular Public Opinion,” the major form of the public opinion is obtained from the following categories:

The “A” media is the media used throughout the United States for information, information related to, and information that might influence the behavior and behavior of a government and its citizens. The “B” media is the media used in various institutions in the United States, usually at the government’s top level. The “D” media is the media used exclusively by government officials at the top levels. They are usually owned and operated by government officials. The “E” media, which also includes the “C” media and the “D” media, is usually operated by the top bureaucrats and bureaucrats.

A large part of public opinion is not derived from the media, but from the desire, for political and scientific information within the public domain. According to Robert A. Kagan at “A History of Popular Public Opinion,” the reason why the public does not have access to official news sources and publications is not simply because they are not open to the public like other information sources. It may also be due to an inability to participate in news media and political information which could make it difficult for the public to understand or follow political trends or events in certain countries.

If government officials want or need to get at information about citizens, they tend rely upon the media, which also includes the news of the government.

A small percentage (0.25 percent) of public opinion is derived from government information and news releases. Since in-between government agencies are busy keeping tabs on citizen’s information, there is not enough time to complete information releases and other critical information. In the United States there is a “war on information” conducted by the government of the country for information. However, in the United States the focus has been on other factors for
