Why Education Is ImportantEssay Preview: Why Education Is ImportantReport this essayEducation was always important to me and I was always interested in pursuing a degree to further my education and career goals and it is my hopes of getting a Masters of management degree at the University of Phoenix. I currently have a bachelors of arts in sociology with a minor in human services through St. Norbert College. After my experience of being an after school coordinator and program director at both the YMCA and now the Boys & Girls Club of Dane County I found that I need more experience and education in management and how to manage a business and the staff I would supervise. If I pursued a masters of management degree at the University of Phoenix I would learn to how to better manage my staff and even grow within the Boys & Girls Club organization by learning the skills of critical thinking, profitable growth opportunities, synthesizing business concepts and strategies as well as how manage a cross-cultural environment.

In todays economy and non-profit business world I feel it is critical for an employee who is in the position of a manager or any kind of director to have an education in business management. It is one of the most sought out degrees today and has great value for any person to have a background in the management field. My personal goal is to always work in the community in some kind of human service field as a director of executive director and I already have the bachelors in sociology and human services to pursue my passion of working in a community but do not have the educational background in managing my staff or the business I am working for and how to have it grow in capital growth. A degree from the University of Phoenix would help me to take the next step needed to continue with my personal career path of becoming a director.

I feel that the key to our world today is an education in management. While I grew up on the same economic and political and social environment as these men, I did not come from where I was taught the fundamentals of the business system and not from the one of today where there is much more and much more. That is why I am here. I want to learn to make decisions based on what other people's values are and I want to become a better manager or CEO, manager or director if I am not able to achieve that goal.

“We need to be responsible about what our employees do,” said Brian MacLaughlin, chairman and CEO of Chattanooga City Finance. “We want to be able to say that what we are doing is responsible. We are responsible at a basic level to our business and do an organization a service of due diligence. And not just from an economic standpoint.”

Some people have been asked about the state of leadership at the state level, including Governor Phil Bryant and President Scott Walker, but the truth is we have a leadership problem. That is why I am calling in the Governor to bring the Legislature back to order. While we do not have the resources necessary to grow this economy, we can ensure that our businesses are able to thrive in a world without government interference. Together we can transform our energy system to make it a better economic community. And that can include reducing our reliance on foreign sources of electricity. That is what we are looking at with this bill and that is to allow our business owners with local jobs and businesses to get a fair share of their electricity.”

We believe Chattanooga needs an organization, as well as a community, to put this into place, for what needs to be done. If there is a need for something other than government
