This is an organization intrigues me due that they are foundation in helping out our veterans of overseas conflicts. The VFW goes back to 1899 when the Spanish-American War (1898) ended. Soon after many veterans founded local organizations that would give them their rights and secure benefits for their service. When many of the service members return home wounded or sick they came home to no medical care or pension. Many were left to care for themselves.

They are also interested in a degree in journalism as it would have been much easier for them to travel and participate in war broadcasts. Unfortunately most of the veterans are extremely disappointed to see this news. This is not the case at all! It seems like the VA and its own organization are trying to hide their efforts. The truth may very well be out. There are 2 reasons for that. 1) Vietnam is not an easy or fast war to be fought. The military was already involved in this conflict for years. 2) VX are not the way of war. While these 2 reasons may seem obvious, we should not be surprised if the VA and its own organization are trying to cover this up. This is a great topic for this article, because I think it is important to know when the VA is being disingenuous, when it isn’t even saying what they say it is, and when it isn’t being completely honest. (By the way if you are reading this you know VA, the other major charity organization involved in this conflict is the National Alliance for Civil Rights. To get started you can visit the Veterans of Vietnam’s website . Just go to www.napdc.org and enter your email. Once you have logged in you will be entered into VA’s Office of Military Personnel which will begin sending out invitations of people for conferences. Some of the conferences will be happening here in the United States. I will get into this more in a future article about VA and its war organizations. These veterans soon banded together and form and organization which will later would become the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States of America. The VFW would be a key in creating the Veterans Administration, the G.I. bill for the 20th and 21st Century. The VFW has fund and help create many memorials across the country such as the Vietnam, Korean War, World War II and the Women in Military Services Memorials. The VFW has about 2.1 million members and contributes more than 11 million hours of volunteer work in communities. They provide each year2.5 million dollars in scholarships and savings bonds to college students every year.
Overall, their mission is to create and build camaraderie among all United States military veterans that have been in overseas conflicts, to help out veterans, the military and their communities. Their vision is to make sure that all veterans are getting respected for their service, that they receive their entitlements. Veterans get recognized for their sacrifices they and their family have made onto this country.
This organization can help me contribute towards increasing my professional knowledge and abilities by creating a better understanding in my field of Public Relations. Putting the interest of the members first, serving the communities. Creating and promoting a positive image to the organization. To ensure that all members and their families are well taken care off at all times. Do good things for deserving people.
This knowledge and abilities can help me strive to succeed in my career by making great decisions and taking part in helping out the communities. I want to help out the people who need my assistance and who are willing to communicate more efficiently by the knowledge of my career success. The abilities to perform my job will encourage my performance and help to get recognize for the work I have put in. My professional values and ethics will be at a high standard if I am going to succeed in my career in Public Relations. If I cannot provide professional values and ethics nor able to understand my field in knowledge and abilities I would not be as successful as planned. It is important to comprehend all information given to you to be successful.
